I never said I wasn’t a hypocrite.

Today's Tids Issue 3,551
Opening Stuff:

I hope the election returns don’t interfere with NCIS tonight. I mean, how much more can talking-heads repeat themselves? We’ve got to get back to having a life, for God only knows what the country will look like after January 21, 2017. Enjoy it while you got it.

Something weird is happening out there, and that something is that some people are not getting the Tids. It appears that perhaps some email services are blocking it as being dangerous to your computer’s health. Today I’m sending it out a bit differently. You can always get this Mess by going to the world view: etc blogspot site. Maybe, it’s being intercepted by Hillary’s private server. I may change the name of this to “Some Stuff”. Does that sound like Spam?

People see and hear what they want to see and hear and see it regardless of the truth or reality. For instance, yesterday a well known TV commentator read about 30 text messages from across the USA (I’m not mentioning his or her name because I don’t want the reaction to be based on any person’s perception of who he may seem to be in an individuals mind.) The messages commenting on this one person’s opinions either said something like, “You Trump butt kisser, you should burn in hell.” Or: “Why do you hate Trump so much? You should be shot!” Do you get the picture, people form opinions irrespective of the facts before them. That’s a problem exaggerated by irresponsible tweeting and other instant opinion dissertations. It’s better to sit back and be calm. But, I don’t think we live in that world any more.

The Question:
Double Q Day: 1. Name three TV shows where Judd Hirsh starred. 2. In what TV program did Kim Raver first gain her fame? Super Bonus: What was the First Internet Domain Name, and when did it appear on the www. Double Bonus: “24” became the longest running espionage/counterterrorism show surpassing what two favorites of yore?

This morning it was announced that a China insurance company swept up the US Starwood Hotel Company winning a bid against Marriott.. There may not be any jobs for Trump to bring back as ownership of US companies keeps on going to China or elsewhere (Avon Cosmetics is moving Their HQ to UK). For instance, GE Appliances, Strategic Hotels, and several semiconductor companies, among others, are already owned by China. And their wallets are still wide open. Our Financial community is about making money and it doesn’t appear to be concerned about which countries are buying up all of our assets and technology as long as the checks are huge and don’t bounce.

Sign seen on the back of a livestock carrier truck: “Caution – Floor covered with political promises.”

If Bernie does well in today’s Primaries, Super Delegates now in Hill’s column could begin to rethink their position. He probably rues the day he closed the door on going after The Hill on her email situation.

The Voice Was packed last night, starting with the end of the Blinds and ending with the beginning of the Battles. Each coach needed to fill their teams and Blake’s only and Pharell’s first were rather mediocre and won’t last long. I liked Christina’s choice of Ayanna Jahnee and Adam’s Katie Basden. The critics really liked Pharell’s second choice of Moushumi, a woman who supposedly gave up a career as a doctor to sing! I personally thought she was wonderful and has a voice that would be easy to listen to for hours. She could do quite well. The first and third Battles were great. Katie Basden fought the very good Ryan Quinn., Katie is probably the better raw singer but Ryan has that something and was kept by Adam. Blake stole Katie, who always wanted Blake in the first place. You couldn’t help but love the duet between Bryan Bautista and Malik Heard. You knew before the end that both would go on. It was Malik who needed to be saved by Pharell, but he was as good as or better than Bryan depending on who watched. Nest week will be great. And then there is American Idol, which keeps on losing solid singers. The latest to go is Avalon Young. And the ever cute Dalton is hanging on by fingernails if singing is the measure! But he will continue to get the teen girl vote. The dominant duo are La’Porsha and Trent Harmon. Also, I think McKenzie will hang in there.

Watching those supporters of Trump, I’m thinking of the Tea Party and how the establishment on either side must really dislike voters with fervor. The “Ins” like mindless voters who think largess from the Government is free, and who don’t argue with the powers that be.

Elder people for the most part have no problem trying to adapt to the good of the new generations, new era of technology. But the young seem to have an aversion to accepting the wisdom of the past. I hate to irritate the young, because they will take away my driver’s license.

Jack Bauer for President! Emma Peel for Vice President.

It appears that some people are taking as a challenge the phrase, “How stupid can you be?” And that covers everybody from political correct college Presidents, to CEO’s and everybody of every gender, age group and race in between.

The protestors at the Trump event certainly look like every other organized bloc from the left. In fact they look exactly like OWS – “Occupy Wall Street.”  Which, is exactly what Bernie is preaching.

“Duh” Realization Of The Month, Department:
I don’t know about you, but it wasn’t a surprise to me to learn that inviting masses of people, into a country would cause problems, financially and socially. I thought of a couple of good analogies, but I might be banned by College Presidents.

The Answer:
1. I guess everybody knows about Judd as Alex in the wonderful Taxi. He was also prominent in Numb3rs. He was less well known to me in Dear John.  2. Kim Ravers became known, as far as I’m concerned, as Jack Bauer’s girlfriend Audrey Raines in “24”. Some would say that she made her mark in Third Watch. She also starred in Grey’s Anatomy after 24. She got her first start on Sesame Street. Super Bonus: Simbolics.com (Of MIT) became the first Internet Domain Name in 1985. Double Bonus: Yes, 24 outlasted Mission: Impossible and The Avengers, two more of my favorites.

Have a great day everybody! Hope you got your “Some Stuff”! Check out the world view: etc site
