Today's Tids Issue 4,495
After all, we are individuals:

Because of the few we label the universe, and I’m getting tired of it.

The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you’re in the bathroom.

The Dems have just announced that they have “enough votes to pass Articles of Impeachment”. But do they have enough evidence? Isn’t having enough votes putting the horse before the cart? They couldn’t have predetermined the outcome could they. Nah. Not our politicians.

Today’s Question:
Which celebrities, athletes or politicians are said to have had the most drastic falls from grace?

The news around here following a girl’s volley ball game between really rural and really urban high school teams was an accusation of racial slurs. It started, say multiple people at the game, when one woman from the Urban school from a mostly Hispanic Central Falls  said the singing of the Star Spangled Banner was racist; as were the abundance of flag replicas.. This woman posted comments on Facebook that intended to show the rural school Burrillville was spouting racial things about the CF girls. All that was heard was Rah Rah Sis Boom Ba and other common cheers. A review of tapes of the game didn’t ow produce a racial slur. It goes beyond this as a third-party group wants to ban all sports for a year at the rural school. It is beyond belief. But, since the final official report of the alleged incident isn’t in, I hold my option. But those are the facts out in the open to date. It’s sad when Red, White and Blue is racist.

It was very nice to see that a judge finally awoke and cleared the record of the Sleeping Juror who was severely over-punished.

Why did it take an hour for the Buddha to vacuum his sofa? Because he didn’t have any attachments.

Kids are being asked to tale up meditation. It’s better than sitting and doing nothing.

The Tid’s resident scientist writes to enlighten us on Climate scare tactics: They ignore the shortness of the human lifespan versus geologic time. –The actual cycle of weather over the millennia. –The susceptibility of earth to natural accidents like volcanos, earthquakes or meteor impacts. Note: Every forcast of immediate doom and destruction has been incorrect.

Maybe the schools should be teaching logic 101.

Today’s Tids: A Year Ago Today: We opened with visions of Montauk daisies and quickly moved to good things about Brett Kavanaugh. I wondered why Marion Andersen is now recognized for her black triumph when as I remember she had always been recognized for her singing excellence; I wondered if the NFL keeps stats on player stupidity, or that Melania could be the best Admin spokesperson if she were allowed to speak. It was the issue that brought the sad news of 20 in a wedding party being liked in a limo accident. Climate “Experts” announce that the cut off date for bad behavior is 20230, or else. I announced that my beloved Red Sox would lose to the Astros (Wrong!). We commented on the shredding of the Sotheby Masterpiece and the folly of a population run by government mandates. I lauded Christopher Columbus, and wondered if Cory Booker was any better than Schumer. And we learned that millennials could kill the real estate industry, relationships, handshake’s, pants, crowd funding and yes, Costco, And germy sbar soap and breastaurants like Hooters. And that for a relaxing Sunday morning you might listen to Otterino Respighi’s “Saint Gregory the Great”.

The Answer:
Number One is Bill Cosby. I can agree with that. One of my favorite funny man and good all-around guy, until… #2 was OJ Simpson, followed by Joe Paterno, Harvey Weinstein, Lance Armstrong, Peter Abelard (12th Century), Aaron Burr, Anthony D. Weiner, Jim Bakker and at #10 Phil Spector. The next five were John Edwards, Dick Nixon, Anne Bolin, Marie Antoinette and Charles the 1st of England. Tiger Woods was #17. Also in the top 25 was Michael Jackson, Rod Blagojevicjh and Mel Gibson. B17.
