(Editor's Note: I just threw in that line above in case you are at a loss wondering how yesterday's first paragraph might have come to an end. Believe it or not, I actually do look for the right words for the mess, although not always the correct way to spell them. Then I thought, Hey why not make the missing line the title of Today's Tids. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.)

There's getting appalled, and then there's really getting appalled. I am appalled every day lately listening to Pols and the media representations (Or non-reporting as it often is). A night or so ago I was really, really appalled at the treatment by the Airport SS Troops, AKA TSA, and their total disregard to the pleas of a woman on her way to a better place to die. There excuse for being inhumane, "We have rules , Lady". We have rules lady, a phrase that steals the minds of good people Afour words that seem to enable irresponsibility everywhere. Even the response by State Department Representative at the Congressional hearings, Charlene Lamb: "We had the correct number of assets at the time in Benghazi on 9/11". It really only said that they had met the number on the manning charts. It was obvious they didn't have enough people there. Four people dead. A gentle woman with days to live, humiliated and worse. All because of a

The bay had the crystalline look of  the Winter seas. But, I'm betting that the clear waters were reflecting the white, arrays of Montauk Daisies, cascading down green hills which run gently to meet the sparkling waters. And, you know what I always say, "Thank God for Montauk Daisies!"

What was amazing about ABC's dismissal last night of the Congressional testimony about Benghazi in favor of a puff interview with 0-Man was that the lead interrogator of press guy Carney about the handling of the Benghazi massacre, was their own WH correspondent Jake Tapper. Anybody with an ounce of truth in their heart would have been proud of old Jake. Jake himself, the official representative of Abetting Barak's Campaign network, seems incredulous at the WH stalling maneuvers.

Another good week, brings the mighty Pickers to 42-35 in the amazingly up-side-down NFL this year. Indy over Green bay! Cheez. This week looks tougher than last beginning with my Mighty Pats the Best Offense against the Seattle the Best Defense. Even holding teams down, Seattle can't score enough points to win. I think the Part swill eck one out. Tonight could have been good if Tennessee was as tough as they appeared to be at the start of the season. I gotta go with

I see where China's Mo Yan won the Nobel Literature Prize for "Hallucionatory Realism"! What the hell is that? Actually I think Obama's Peace Prize was awarded for the same thing>

My guess is that Joe Biden will make his people happy and that the debate will be pretty much a draw. If Ryan doesn't get too "Wonky" with his numbers he good do very well and impress a lot of people out side the church. I can see The Nations Plagiarist Laureate make some outrageous statement that encroaches upon believability and Ryan is momentarily paralyzed. The problem here is that paralysis at any level doesn't play well with TV audiences and assorted lemmings.

PC Sales fell a whopping 8% in the Q3. If you have been reading this mess regularly you may have noted our concerns about the future of the Microsoft Universe. People are liking their tablets more and more, and the laptop may not even be necessary for large percentages of the population. It was just there and people used , often just for email and surfing. So "other stuff" which does those two basics quite simply is eating into the PC biz. The other side of the decline may be the many who are holding off until Windows 8 arrives next month. It had better be really, really good, because right now M-Soft is nowhere in the tablet business. And you can be sure of one inevitability, tablet architecture will get richer.

A beloved 25 year old NYC soccer coach was "Slashed" to death yesterday. Michael Jones had just dropped off his girl friend when he was met on the street by a figure with a pony tale wearing a black jacket who proceeded to slash Jones neck and torso and cut off his ear. Just like that. Civilization has not come very far, has it? Breaks my heart.

Note: There was a picture of Montauk Daisies in the Tids above. It may not appear properly in all issues of the Tids.
