Actually,
it’s easy for a conservative to a have lot of liberal friends and vice versa.
So, if two people can talk to each other civilly on just about most everything essential
to living day to day, why does politics create so much deep-seated hatred. This
is an enigma to me. I’m talking hatred versus arguable difference of opinion.

The latest five acts going to the AGT
finals are V-Unbeatable, Voices of Service, The Detroit Youth Choir, Ryan
Niemiller and 10 yo Opera Singer, Emanne Beasha. They will join in the final
ten – Tyler Butler-Figueroa, Kodi Lee, Benicio Bryant, Light Balance Kids and Ndlovu
Youth Choir. I was surprised Luke Islam was eliminated. I like Kodi, “V”,
Voices and perhaps Emanne. The finals are September 17 and 18. I actually may
get into watching. On DVR, that is.
Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--Hustlers, starring J-Lo and my favorite from “Fresh
off the Boat”, Constance Wu, looks a little over the top to me, but the critics
like it, probably for its social story. It’s about a couple of lap dancers who
drug their rich clients and to max out their credit cards and other stuff. When
the 2008 economic recession reduces the number of rich men, the girls fall onto
hard times. The girls, single moms with the proverbial cute kids, struggling in
the seedier side of life to survive, must now resort to newer hustles against unsuspecting
men with money. The moral here: Wall Street bad. Struggling females who just
happen to be strippers good. It could be entertaining. But could also be
cringeworthy.
--MONOS looks a little unsettling. MONOS is a
survival group in Latin America Mountains, young rebels and soldiers keeping watch
over an American female hostage. The teens train by day and enjoy their hedonistic
nights. MONOS is their only family, which is controlled by “The Organization”.
Oooo-Weee-Oooo. When an ambush drives them into the deep jungle, survival instincts
take over, and friends turn against friends, the strong prey on the weak. Sounds
ugly
--Freaks is equally disheartening. A seven year old girl
is kept locked out of the outside world by her Dad who tells her that the “Abnormals”
are a constant threat. But when a stranger exposes, he to the outside she learns
that while the truth is not simple the danger is real. Whatever that means.
--In Brittany Runs A Marathon, we meet a very funny,
gregarious 2yy Year old women increasingly struggling with her life of late night
carousing and early morning regrets Visiting a doctor found on Yelp looking for
Adderall she gets an entirely different prescription, Exercise The first week
she barely runs for one block the next week two. Then… well you get the story.
