Inevitability is inevitable.

Today's Tids Issue 4,470
It will most certainly happen:

The way the weather is going, I may have to break out the plaid flannel shirts a little earlier this year. I’ll miss my shorts and sockless days for sure. But then, the ole’ PFS’s are certainly pretty darn comforting. Life is a series of hard decisions and readjustments. I never fight them. Never fighting the inevitable adds years to your life; as calming as an old favorite flannel plaid shirt.

The peanut company, Planters, as many of you know has their own delicious cheese balls, coated with perhaps a better tasting cheese dust than Cheetos. So, here’s the good news -- Planters is selling their magical dust it in shaker containers so you can use it like any other seasoning to spruce up dull foods. Who says the world isn’t getting better.

MLB Execs are always trying to figure out why fans aren’t coming to stadiums. They continue to tweak the game hoping to add excitement and reduce the time of play. But maybe they should look at places, say like in Seattle where parking for a Mariners game is $220! Do you think maybe fans can’t afford games anymore and are looking for cheaper sport’s events to attend or games on TV.

From this Ref’s chair, it looks like Serena Williams will win the US Open giving her 24 Major’s titles tying her with Margaret Court as the all-time winner. She is hard to beat.

“Wouldn’t exercise be more fun if calories screamed while you burned them?” – Bill Murray

The Question:
Which women have won the most Grad Slam tennis championships? Bonus: Which Men?

The NFL was great before Antonio Brown and it will be great when he leaves the scene.

A lot of people I know say a little prayer each evening, for their family and friends and peace in the world, and the hope that perhaps the President will just stop talking.

A lot of regular people trying out the new BK Impossible Whopper are finding the plant-based burger is tasty. But, the official testers are saying that it isn’t a significantly healthier option to the beefy burger. Except for cholesterol benefits. Maybe BK could include a generic Lipitor with each meat burger.

Did you hear about the guy who worked with animals every day? He was a butcher. His girlfriend wasn’t impressed

In case you are interested, I am totally in favor with no reservation for the Betsy Ross flag. To me it represents the foundation of America pure and simple. And I will not waver in letting it wave.

When the nest on the new branch of a tree didn’t work out, the birds decided not to dwell on it.

As you watch some of the near misses from Dorian, you have to wonder if people will become less cautious the next time Government officials ask them to take to the roads and get out of town.

Did you see where the owners of the “Dive Boat” where 34 died, has sued claiming it was not liable for damages and victims. The suit is based on a 1851 US Maritime law. It appears to be in terribly poor taste just 3 days after the tragedy, but it is a time-tested legal maneuver used often, including with the Titanic. There’s always a law out their for just about anything. But, it still seems a little heartless, even in this litigation crazed world.

Biden may be maintaining his pretty comfortable lead despite his mishaps because a lot of Dems just aren’t smitten with the progressive left-wing loony schemes.

It has been reported that the crew of the doomed dive boat repeatedly tried to get to the trapped passengers, but were repelled by the intense heat and flames. The intrinsic problem was that all escapes from the sleeping areas was through the kitchen where the fire started. So, expect new regulations for escape ways.

I have this recurring nightmare that on this coming Sunday night when the Pats play the Steelers, the somewhat questionable O-Line of New England will break down, and Brady unable to find an open receiver in the new inexperienced crew, will be crushed and out for the season. Ouch!

If the shoe store clerk tells you that your new shoes will be stiff for two weeks, start wearing them on the third week.

More and more people are awakening to the problems of overexposing themselves on Facebook and other mass communications media.

A lot of people think General Mattis is a pretty fine representative of America and its values.

I have been less than diligent this year in my reporting of the AGT live shows. The week during the semifinals they went from 11 to 5 to set up the big final program September 17 and 18. The five are Kodi Lee, Tyler-Butler-Figueroa, Benicio Bryant, The Light baance Kids and NDLovu Youth Choir. The last talent knocked out was 65-year-old singer Robert Finley, voted off in a judges decision with the deciding vote cast by Simon. People apparently were irate at that. Another big disappointment for fans was she elimination of the Messoudi Brothers balancing/strength act. The were good, but monotonous. I think there is too much singing and not enough good variety acts. We don’t really need another singing competition. The Light Balance group really missed it on Tuesday, but they got the vote anyway. I’m thinking Kodi could win it all if he hits it in the finals.

“It’s been a tough week. I bought myself a memory foam mattress and now it’s trying to blackmail me.” --GD

ESPN Host Jamele must not believe that a lot of black athletes use athletic scholarships to go to a good college to get an excellent education.

Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--Ms. Purple is one of those films where critics are loving the director and perhaps audiences are wondering what’s going on. Two siblings in Koreatown LA, are abandoned by Mom and raised by Dad. Obviously traumatic. The sister and brother reunite at Dad’s deathbed, and then open up about their past and seek to repair a relationship. Sounds a little talkee to me.
-It, Chapter 2 brings in the clowns and the mayhem and the losers, allover again. “It” was the highest grossing Horror film of all time so why not bring back evil clowns to scare another generation. The original losers are long gone except for Mike who after kids go missing as they had in his day, calls home his old friends to help recover from their past mental damages and destroy and even more evil Pennywise.
--Nanook and Sedra live in a yurt in the snow-covered wilderness. (You could tell by the choice of the name Nanook. How Original) Their daughter “Aga” (the name of the film), had left for civilization over a family dispute, but Nanooks embarks on a long treacherous journey to find her when wife Sedra becomes seriously ill. The film’s probably a photographic thrill. It is probably, no surely a bit of a Climate crisis film but could hold your interest.

An awful lot of films these days seem to be about families rebelling against each other. That doesn’t sound like a good message to be sending out to a gullible society.

The Answer:
