Dire Convergence Again.

Today's Tids Issue 5454

The longest hiatus:

This will be crazy Wednesday in the caverns of Wall Street as fidgety brokers and gurus await the days end Nvidia earnings report and the notes from the last Fed Meeting. Holy anticipation, Batman.

Meanwhile people are hitting winning pickleball shots, figuring out a new diet and tax changes; wondering why their internet suddenly is off, falling in love, worrying about somebody ill. The life of people just keeps on going on no matter what mahofs are decreeing or protesters are protesting.

Today is National “Love your Pet Day.” You need to set aside a day to love your pets?

It is also “Comfy day, Cherry Pie Day and Muffin Day. I’m going to get comfy with a chocolate chip muffin, that should free up plenty of Cherry Pie for the rest of you.

The Question:

Trump has come out with a VP list. Who do you think is on it.

The Headlines;

Stocks Lower as Worries About Over Hyped Nvidia Earnings Becomes Reality.

--UK Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron Sanctions Six Russian Leaders Over Death of Navalny.

--3,500 Illegal Entrants from 55 Different Countries Nabbed at Northern Border Near Swanton Vermont in just the last Quarter.

--RCP Latest Average of Fifteen Polls: Biden Approval Rating – 40.1 Positive, 55.9 Negative; Dem Leadership Concerned.

Biden has a higher approval rating among female voters than Trump. However, it was the Mail voters that won Biden the Election.

Why do they keep on reporting illegal entrants as “Migrants’” tending to obfuscate the seriousness of a real issue. Putting chocolate sauce on a crime epidemic will never lead to a real solution to a illegal malfunction. It’s the old ostrich thing.

A civil Rights lawyer named Ben Crump says crime can be eliminated easy-peasy by simply changing the definition of what constitutes a crime. And there will be people forming groups and marching on DC to promote his ludicrous idea.

Note: The wise judicial group from RI about a year ago reduced the punishments for prisoners involved in undo antisocial behavior, like maiming friends and enemies. Guess what... Yesterday 5 prison guards were attacked and seriously beaten, which according to reports is just the latest brutality by prisoners upon each other and guards since the penalty reduction

Vladimir Putin's approval rate is 80%...The other 20% are missing.

If you are reading this mess and come across something weirder than what's usually weird in here, it may be my grocery shopping lists which I write from time to time in my Tids Notes pad.

Maybe tomorrow, I' ll get back to my year-by-year events columns, The next year on tap is 2001 you know, the year America stood still for about a second and a half, until the flags rose high, and the anger mounted, and Americans shouted to the world. We are One.

One of my bigger missions today is cutting my fingernails, Yes, I am in that stage of life until golf season returns.

Is there anything uglier than those sneakers being hawked by the Trumpster. God help us.

There will be a bit of heat wave today as we hit 41 degrees. I may feel sluggish.

A lot of the answers on Jeopardy are so easy you think you must be wrong.

I have this thing about getting pneumonia, so I think I over dress in the winter. There is layering, and there is really layering.

At a minimum, the Biden's skirted around the intent of the family gifting laws.

In regard to that polling news item above, Dems and Repub observers ask could this be the year a candidate is chosen at convention if Joe B sees no hope by August and bows out gracefully? BTW, the last time the Dems picked a candidate at a convention t which was in 1968, the voting came down to a race between Abe Lincoln and FDR.

Hedge Funds are paring back their holdings of the “Magnificent Seven” -- Apple, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Alphabet, Nvidia and Tesla. The issue concern, how can they repeat the high Flying successes success of years past going forward.” In other words, has high been too high to sustain. It is expected the freed-up funds will go to ”cyclicals" -- car manufacturers, airlines, furniture retailers, clothing stores, hotels and restaurants.

The Answer

He starts with Tim Scott, De Santis and Ramaswamy. It is filled out with Kristi Noem, Byron Donalds (R-Rep Fla) and Tulsi Gabbard.

If you have nothing to do today, you might enjoy spending a part of the day with Paul Davids’ amazing performance of well-known Guitar intros to 80 of the greatest song hits. See how many you can guess. In Paul Davids' Words: “My take on the 80 most iconic guitar intros of all time, played through the years. All in one take, and all by heart (remembering the order was the hardest bit haha!) Hope you enjoy it:
