Really, what is the truth?

Today's Tids Issue 4,069
For Conciliation:

As we wander in this world of toil
Where bitter anger seems to roil,
We can always find, begin to mend
A brand-new face, a special friend.

As one opposition leader in Syria says, every time Russia calls for a freeze in fighting, innocent citizens get bombed. Assad appears to be the core problem, but taking sides pits Russia against the USA, which is an escalation nobody needs. Enigma with few variations is the name of this tune.

Warren Buffet said that despite his political leanings, he has urged his trading staff to buy and sell stocks as they always have in the past, to make money and not to support ideologies – i.e. dumping NRA related stocks.

A reader wonders why a group of squid are not called a squad?

The Question:
Quick now, who was the only President who never blamed his processor for the problems in his admin?  Bonus: Name five movies starring the great Joanne Woodward.

The Voice opened up another season last night, While I have not yet heard a singer who stood clearly above the rest, or thrilled me much, I have to say that Kelly Clarkson is a nice added touch. But while humorous, she and the other judges just talked way too long in the “pick me” phase; funny for a while, but then tedious. However, Kelly is funny. As you remember, I will be back in a few weeks boring you to tears with each shows analysis.

Another new show premiered last night. You may want to take a look at McMafia, a well-executed Russian mafia series taking place in London. It’s about wealthy rival gangs with an intelligent twist. It’s on AMC at 10:00 on Monday, and it is on my DVR list for sure..

Hey, I just used “well-executed” and “Mafia” in the same sentence.

AMC and Fx have always delivered some of the best TV drama series

Jennifer Lawrence maybe maturing. This super star who over the past couple of years has uttered some undecipherable, mind boggling political statements, said yesterday that it was “disgusting” how Hillary Clinton attacked Trump supporters and that it is “not wise” for celebrities to discuss politicians. Actually, she may be a little like Buffet above, saying her job is to get people to theaters to make money.

Of course, the psyched-out Hillary portion of Twitterville will be on a rampage against Jennifer, a woman who just months earlier they had placed on a pedestal.

The best thing for all is the truth, but truth sayers will get nailed by all of those who don’t accept real truths against the versions in their minds.

I’m not a big fan of Jerry Jones, but I think he is getting screwed by the NFL despot Goodell. He as you have probably read, he will be fined $2,000,000 for basically for two accusations: supporting his player and trying to stop a new contract for the overpaid Goodell. It just seems wrong hat a person in our free society can’t voice his opinions against a tsar without being subject to the tsar’s firing squad.

Last year the lives of 652,639 babies without a voice were aborted. And, they are trying to tell me that the NRA is the bad guy.

Another court ruling has broadened once again those covered under the Civil Rights act. This time it was LGBT segment of America. I figure that the way things are going, by 2025 the CR Act will be basically an Anti-white, strait, male legislation, and no one in organizations will be able to be legally fired for cause except the WSM group. You know, every group in America has great and good people, average people, annoying people and bad people. People should be judged on who they are and not by group legislation.

Yesterday the Governor of RI signed a “Red Flag” legislation that would confiscate or prohibit gun ownership based on identifying mental problems of gun owners and potential gun owners. She said that she “can’t wait for the Federal Government to act”. Duh. Being a Dem, she probably doesn’t realize that states are core governmental units in the USA. States in fact allow the federal government to exist. They are able to and they do enact laws as they wish for the benefits of people based on the wishes of the people. It’s great she didn’t wait for Fed action to establish a rigid national edict that could unfairly govern the actions of states, and inhibit the people in the. Gun laws should be local, just as civil rights acts and other personal social laws should be local. And people have choice to live where they want, sometimes based on the laws in or not in place.

The Answer:
I know you all knew immediately that George Washington did not blame his predecessor. Bonus: Number ne ranked movie for Woodward is “Effect of Gamma Rays On Man-in-the Moon Marigolds.” Yikes! Next is “Rachel, Rachel” which is followed by “The Glass Menagerie”, her Oscar winning “Three Faces of Eve”, “They Might be Giants”, “Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams”, “The Sound and the Fury”, “The Long, Hot Summer”, “Mr. and Mrs. Bridge” and #10 “Philadelphia”. Some others are A View from the Bridge, A Kiss Before Dying and Paris Blues.

I think one of the basic aspects of truth to be considered today is who is teaching it to the young.
