One Relevant Day

Today's Tids Issue 2,101
A Relevant Thought:

This morning I can only think of a man, a young man nailed to a cross, blood streaming down from thorns pressed into a skull; anything else but remembering sacrifice for the good of all humans seems trivial. Every once in while we should just think of one event, an event so meaningful that it changed the course of God’s earth forever. We live it seems in a world of people seeking irrelevancy. Yet on a day like today majorities of people overlook true relevancy. A day so rich in meaning that it could change all lives.

Yesterday a woman I have come to know spoke through tears of the death of her husband. She spoke of looking down at the new roads she must now travel. New roads with cars streaming by. Nobody stopping to share her intense grief. Why should they she reasoned. The world continues to go on while I endure the weight of the single most traumatic event in my life, she thought. Yet all the world knows of that death in the year 33AD. A death which would beget intense love. A death that is the foundation of all hope. And yet, the cars stream by.

There is but one thought that is relevant today.

I would feel ashamed to write anything else.
