Short and Sweet.

Today's Tids Issue 2,805
Opening Stuff

42 degree days in the Spring feel warmer than 42 degree days in the fall...if the wind isn't howling at 25 knots.

How come when the truth comes out about wars past, it doesn't deter current leaders from making the same mistakes for wars present. It's because many of the high ranking officers are basically the best politicians.

The Question:
1. What is "Doxing"? Bonus "Q": Here's a tricky one for you that will stretch your memories. Wha was the name of the Helicopter pilot who outed Lt. William Calley as killer of babies and innocents?

There will never be piece in the Middle East. And, it will never be achieved by a President of the US, because no matter how hard they try to understand, they will still try to implement solutions that only would work in the USA.

You may have seen that video running around the internet and on TV news programs where a guy steal a woman's pocketbook and runs through a glass sliding door. Every body is applauding justice served. But they will be aghast when the robber sues and wins because the sliding door wasn't properly marked.

Over in England there seemed to have been a problem with Disability payments abuse. So, Parliament decided to pass a law requiring a doctors visit before payment authorization. 900,000 people dropped out of the program!

I see where Obama has sequestered 5% of his salary. Why does he, or any President, need a salary any how. He and his family fly on taxpayer planes, live in taxpayer homes, get fed by taxpayer employees, ride in taxpayer limos guarded by taxpayer Secret Service agents. Designers give FLOTUS and kids clothes and big supporters give them vacation homes. They don't need pensions and they don't have to pay for medical care.  So, 5% of his salary will probably not affect his life style. I am not worried.

Sean Hannity is a favorite among conservatives, but frankly I find him annoying. When an opponent asks him a serious difficult question he will answer with something inane like "The President takes too many vacations." I think he's a little childish and basically a high paid gossip, he undermines the credulity of important topics..

The US problems are not presidential vacations.

The Answer:
1. Doxing is the process of retrieving, hacking and publishing other people’s information such as names, addresses, phone numbers and credit card details. Doxing may be targeted toward a specific person or an organization. There are many reasons for doxing, but one of the most popular is coercion. The word itself comes from Docs.
Bonus: Hugh "Buck" Thompson was at first ostracized as a snitch, but later honored as an honest man for his act of "Conscience and Courage" after he told what he saw and could not believe in the Village of Ma Lai. Thompson's second career was teaching military "Ethics" at a the US Military Academy at West Point. Sounds like a guy we could use more of.

Have a dish of vanilla ice cream. Maybe with Hot Fudge and Butterscotch.
