It's in there.

Today's Tids Issue 2,825
Opening Stuff:

Happiness is news that "24" will be returning to Fox shortly, and disillusioned millions walking in the wasteland will rise again, smiling, chanting in unison -- KThunk. KThunk. KThunk!

Rarely do I put a local sports event above the fold in Tids , but last night The Boston Bruins did something almost biblical  -- rising from the dead with a truly miracle comeback. It's one of those events where the crowd last night of about 20,000 will increase over the years to come to 100,000 as people tell their grandchildren, "I'll never forget the night when I was there cheering the Bruins, down 1-4 with less than 10 minutes to go, only to comeback and win it in overtime. It was more than a sporting achievement, it was a beautiful example of how anybody doing anything can reach down and find an extra inch of capability, of energy, to rise above defeat. We always have more than we think we have, unless we're too lazy to find it.

When the whales got together to play a symphony, it was an Orcastra.

The Question:
Double Q Day-- 1. Name the top 5 Internet Billionaires. 2. Cate Blanchett hasn't been in a new movie in a while. Name 5 of her best.

The Headlines:
--Markets Up In Early Trading; Tech Stocks Lead; Gold Up As Dollar Trades Off Index High..
--Justice Department Raided AP For Reporters Phone Records; AP Chief Calls Phone Records Grab "Unprecedented" (Since Peter Zenga Trial).
--Abortion Doctor Found Guilty Of Murdering Three Newborn Babies; Prosecutors Expected To Seek Death Penalty..
--In Talk To Donors, Obama Blames Rush Limbaugh For Stagnation Of Government?

Speaking of Headlines, this morning our local Big Daily the Providence Journal had the lazy headline: "President shoots down controversies." Of course he didn't shoot them down, he personally dismissed them becasue they were annoying to him. To shoot them down would mean he had facts that refuted the irresponsibility or intentional misguidance of his staffs and admin organizations. And perhaps himself. So instead of seeing an opportunity to investigate for factual truth the journalists here chose to defend their idol. To take as fact pronouncements of a man who would be king, It's the "Now I have to do the business of the people", (Wagging finger) "I didn't have sexual relations with that woman" syndrome all over again. Presidents, leaders who think because they say it, the folks will take it as truth.

It seems to me the education system could be better served if it didn't lump all students in the same pot. There must be a way to determine that some just aren't math oriented or grammar oriented but have expressed unique talents in one of the fields of learning. Instead we see labeling as failures great minds for the future beause of diffeicencies in one are a of learning. Along the way we may dismiss a scientist or a writer of great books. And artist, an Engineer.

I fully realize that Breast cancer is no laughing matter, at all, but I had to chuckle at two juxtaposed headines as I opened up my computer this morning: "Angelina Joli has double mastectomy." "Click Here for information on the Angelina Joli weight loss system,"

Did you know that your hard drive is protected by the Fourth Amendment? Storing your emails there is one of three ways to avoid warrentless FBI snooping. The other two are encrypting your emails and having an offshore email account. Raise your hand if you think it is a good idea to encrypt the Tids where you have to unlock the info with an encryption key -- which I would provide for $200 per tid? Sounds silly, doesn't  it. Especially that anybody in this great US of A would have to go to such lengths to achieve protection from an intrusive goverment. But all of a sudden, but seems to be the new fact of live in the public world.

People without Brains, Department:
I was dismayed this morning, feverishly scratching my head wondering how anybody could think tearing down a 2,500 year old Belize area Mayan temple for road gravel production was a good idea. The question, was it stupidity or laziness. "Hey buddy, there's a lot of potential gravel at Mount Rushmore."

Did you know that funnyman Bill Murray has a son Luke who is considered an up and coming college basketball coach. Luke Murray was just hired BY U Rhode Island as an assistant. That'll surely be good for ticket sales as people will come for star watching as it is known that dad often attends games.

The Answer:
1. Jeff Bezos of Amazon at $25.2 Bil edges out Google billionaires Larry Page and Sergey Brin who are 2 and 3. Next is Mark Zuckerberg followed by Masayoshi Son of Softbank, Pierre Omidyar EBay and Eric Schmidt Google. Check ot the top 25 at http://www.itessentials.me/technology-articles/273-25-top-internet-billionaires  2. Cate is always good in my mind, especially her first Elizabeth Pic. Some others are The Talented Mr. Ripley, Pushing Tin, The Gift, The Missing, I'm Not There, Notes on a Scandal, The Aviator, Little Fish and of course Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

In June I'm showing up at the New England Patriot's training camp. I think I can still do it.
