Hanging loose is better than clinging to lumps.

Today's Tids Issue 3,086
Opening Stuff:

It is important to remember when opting for fitness style clothing that it is imperative to be fit.

“24” continues to be the fastest hour on TV. Last night’s two hour premiere flew by as several plots and lots of great characters, old and new were revealed. It was a real happy homecoming for “24” fanatics. I loved it. And one of the highlights was Yvonne Strahosky, who played the great Sarah Walker on “Chuck”. (Yes I watched Chuck religiously…have to keep the mind versatile, you know). Her character on “24 “ is a mix of Jack Bauer and Carrie Mathison; She is energetic, enigmatic and magnetic. Chloe is Chloe all over again, and Jack’s Old love Audrey is in the wings, and sure to be the center of a traumatic disruption. All in all, it was one helluva, glorious night!

When you get down to it, the real crime of the Benghazi affair, in addition to misleading the people, is that our vaunted State Department did not heed the early warnings from Chris Stevens about an impending Islamic aggravated assault on the Embassy,. He wasn’t calling for police protection for the “Red Carpet” festivities coinciding with an anti Islamic video premiere. What he knew was real, and nobody it appeared listened or cared. Unfortunately, the only red carpet was the blood of brave Americans.

The Question:
I think TV is loaded with great dramas. The Wall Street “Cheat Sheet” has listed their current Top 5. What do you think they are? Bonus: What do you think are the top ten of all time?

The Headlines:
--SC Says OK For Prayers before Town Meetings; Says Prayers Are More Than Praising God..
--Nigeria Tragedy Worsens As 8 More Girls Are Abducted.
--Market Down On China, Ukraine Concerns; Gold Dipd, But Ukraine Keeps It Above 1300.
--New Gov Revised Reports Says US Economy Probably Shrank In First Quarter; Home Prices declining.
--After Ten Years Monica Lewinsky Telling all In Vaity Fair.
--China Looking For Deeper Military Ties With Iran.
--Billionaires Becoming Nervous About Stocks.
--Is Next Military Axis’s, China, Iran And Russia?
--Pistorious Defense Trying to Break Down Prosecution Arguments.
--Coke Dropping Controversial BVO (Brominated Vegetable Oil) From Several Drinks.

I hate it when Wall Street gurus start beating the drums about a “Giant market Crash”. The power of their massed words generally becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Michelle Obama’s brother Craig Robinson was fired as BB coach of Oregon yesterday. Well, that’ a start.

Hey, did you see where kids don’t think the 1st lady is doing so well in the food biz. In fact children seem to be gravitating towards Tids style menu. Yes the Associated Press has been compiling DM’s (Direct messaging) from kids across the country about food at lunch, and it isn’t good for so-called healthy eating. The majority names Michelle Obama as the culprit behind the decline in taste of food in the cafeteria.

One of the great things about Sunday afternoon is Leo Laporte.

A headline says “Social media captures circus accident in Providence”. I’d say it was more accurate to say, “People with phones captured the accident.”

The major problem with the “24” intro is that it interfered with The Voice. But, I found a way. The program was not up to the quality level of past shows, with a couple of singers like Delvin (D), Kristin Merlin (C) and Kat Perkins also missing in low C land. Susaundra, Christina and Audra probably had the best nights. Jake was only fair, and Josh while good was not up to Josh standards. Three go home tonight. Sussaundra isn’t even safe because these are the times when quality loses out to voting blocs. Personally, I think Josh and Christina are the only two truly safe singers. I betting on Audra because fo Country, and maybe even Jake for the same reason. But, don’t take that to the bank.

So, does the protest by Rutgers students and profs against Condoleezza Rice make that home of the Scarlet Knights a racist institution. Oh, I forgot…Republican blacks don’t count.

Speaking of race, you have to imagine that there are some players and agents hoping their owner will make racist remarks.

The Dems keep saying that the Repubs are playing politics over Benghazi. But, last night Jon Stewart scoffed at the Repubs for being overwrought, saying that they didn’t understand that the Susan Rice trick was politics as usual. Everybody in Washington plays politics, and nobody more-so than the Admin

The Answer:
Their TOP Five are Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey, The Good Wife and Masters of Sex. I personally like Justified, The Following, The Americans, Mad Men, House of Cards and Person of Interest. Tose are my heart palpitation choices. Bonus: Ok, The Wire is #1. Next in order are The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Deadwood, Six feet under, The Twilight Zone, NYPD Blue, Buffy and The Vampit=re Slayer and the thoroughly mindboggling Twin Peaks. The only shows listed n the Top 50 that are still on the tube are Justified (18), “24” (35), Homeland (37), CSI (43) and Walking Dead (50). Enjoy what you like and forget about lists.

A reader, pleasantly quiet, discerning and insightful suggests that atheists are angry because they have no music! I think she nailed it. She sends this along by Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers.:

I may have to start getting up at 5:00am to get out the Tids so you can enjoy them at breakfast. I'll try to make them always digestible...but no bananas; definitely no bananas.
