Music and Self reliance:

 

I like music, it just makes life feel good at times. Intestinally, in reading about Plato I determined form several of his opinions that thought music was the essence of living pleasantly. I use to like music better when it was more about melodies than lyrics,

 

Today began with one of those great mornings where after the weathermen on various stations predicted a dire, dreary, rainy morning, I went to play golf anyway and it was perfect. It happens all of the time. Be yourself.

I think at a High School graduation I attended last Saturday I got a clue about what’s being taught in our school systems. At the end after the diplomas were presented, the Master of Ceremonies said, “Now you can move your tassels from right to left.” Yes, after four years of High School our conservative rock-ribbed Republicans children are now officially indoctrinated left.

The Question:

Happy Falg Day, Everybody! The first Flag, “The Betsy Ross Flag” had 13 stars and 13 stripes. Through the years there have been 30 flags with 13 stripes but only 28 with varying numbers of stars. What were the two American flags with 13 stripes but no stars?

Plato: Be kind, because everyone is fighting a hard battle.

 

Most Mayors of US cities thought they would be in the middle of bringing economic vitality to their towns following the ravages of the Pandemic But the ravages are now the result of savages roaming streets killing each other and much too often innocents caught in the crossfire. Solving violent crime on the street has become Number one. And too many mayors are now working with smaller police forces who also are much timider, cautious about going after street criminals.

 

Hmm? Another reporter investigated the Clintons mysteriously committed it suicide two days ago. Yes, Christopher Sign who was the reporter who broke the so-called “coincidence” story about Bill  Clinton  just happening to bump into AG Loretta Lynch on the tarmac. His body was found at his home, but this happily married man with two children was last seen the night before his death joking around with friends and coworkers. And the BH death list grows.

 

Plato: Music gives a soul to the universe; wings the mind; flight to the imagination; and life to everything”.

 

Our local RI Congressman David Ciciline is leading the committee that is bringing out the report which could put a serious dent in the business plans of tech giants. Who better to ruin an anti-business investigation than  a Rhod Islander, the state where politicians have made the state constantly last as a place where Businesses want to be.

What I’m a hating now is people making excuses for all of these brawls on beaches and in city spaces. After all, say eager enablers, these poor kids just want to be normal again. I don’t remember punch people in the face as being normal.

 

The Answer:

The first real American flag flying between 1775 and1777 had 13 stripes but because the US was still a British colony, the British Union Jack was in the Stars Panel. It was known as the Grand Union Flag and Continental Flag. The other flag was The Battle of Bennington Battle Flag which has a large 76 in the stars panel, although and another version it has also had the 76 with and arc of 13 stars.

 

I think I’ll just hum a happy tune for the rest of the day. Why make life complex when a little music will always make it grand.
