Finally.

Today's Tids Issue 5,611

How do you stop it:

A 14-year-old Boy unmercifully opened fire on his fellow students. In his apparent total disregard for human life he would he have killed and wounded as many as he could have found if he hadn’t been stopped. Will we ever find a way to predict such sociopathic behavior?  How do you isolate black hearts?

I realize I don't probably have much to look forwar4d to, my Pats being below the mediocrity strata of football elite. But It's time to feel once more the thrill of blocking and tackling and leaping catches in the air. Of spirals gracefully thrown and shoulders pounded into the chests of defenders. And last-minute kicks for the winning score. To me, there is magic in the purity of the game played. I just hope the promoters don't ruin it.

I wish the ups and downs of the stock market were as entertaining as the ups and downs of a football game.

Jury selection begins today for Hunter Biden’s court case on his alleged tax evasion side of his multiple dilemmas. Remember, this is how they finally got Al Capone.

The Windsor Castle staff are instructed to wear leather belts. That is to avoid], -- now l want to hear you all singing -- “London Britches Falling Down.”

The Question:

Who was Sara Josepha Hale?

It's... TidsPicker time! We have also some potentially pretty great games. Even on Monday we have the dreaded Jets playing San Fran and it has all the ingredients fo a very good game. Believe it or not the damn Gang Green are supposed to be good this year, especially on D. So, let's get going. Tonight, we have a good beginning featuring too exciting QB’s, the Magician from KC and the multitalented Lamar Jackson of the Ravens. I'm picking the Chiefs in a close hard-fought battle. The best games should be Green Bay-Philly, Ariz-Buff, Jax-Miami, Dallas-Cleve, Wash (Yes Washington)-TB, Rams-Lions and Jets-Niners. The so-called experts are throwing around lots of love for the Pack but I'm picking the Eagles. Josh Allen is still Josh Allen but how good is the team around him We’ll see against Arizona. I'll get out on limb and go hometown Bills. North Florida against South Florida should be one of the best. I'm liking Jax in a close one. Dallas is beleaguered between Hype and reality. Will Watson rise again for the Browns. I go with the dogs and give Cleveland a meaty bone. Washington may surprise this year, But TB will win opener. LAR needs a comeback year and Detroit is a media darling. I think the media will be happy. How good will Aaron Rogers be, The Jets had retooled on O and D. But SF just has had the tools a little while longer. I go niners.

Of the rest I have Pit over Atlanta, Chicago over Tenn, Houston over Indiana, New Orleans over Carolina, Denver to U upset Seattle, and the New York Football Giants to take it to Minn which is suffering from a diminishes QB core. And then there is my beloveds versus a very good Bengals team. I wanna say all the negativity we’ve heard about the Pat’s O line, an immature receiving corps isn't true. But I am afraid is and Cincy is a good team with a great QB. Pats lose, even though their D makes it tough on Jow Burrow.

AI isn't an emotional rational Human. It’s data assembled and analyzed. AI results come from the bias of the programmer. Results, no matter how awesome the wizardry, are based on information available and how guidelines are administered. At least today.

One of our more observant Tids co-conspirators wrote that I made an error yesterday in the revised answer to the Q “How do you stop a Rhino from charging,” He questioned, “Take away “his” credit cards. If you get his drift.

It doesn't really matter how well you hit the ball when playing in the glistening sun in the early dawning. It is just worth being alive to be out there in green forests and upon rolling hills,

The Answer:

I like to find people who helped change the world, and yet are sometimes missed by cultural historians along the waySara Josepha Hale was on of those. She was editor of the largest magazine of the mid 1800’s where she influenced all of the best-known writers of te times. And urged the acceptance of equality for woman way before it would be echoed by the more renown. Yet she was by no means a suffragette. But she was out their calling for better education for women and was co-founder of Vasser. She wrote fifty volumes of poetry and numerous books and novels. She wrote to Abe Lincoln urging him to create Thanksgiving Day. And she wore “Mary had a Little Lamb”. She edited her magazine until she was 93. Oh, and she had children along the way. This woman from a small town in New Hampshire.

There are no good Pro team fight songs, or I’d play one to kick off the season. Maybe you'll get a kick out if this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNxLxTZHKM8
