All this is that?

Today's Tids Issue 4,691

This is all a dream, Right?:

Aah the lazy summer, stonewalls and orange day-lilies, gulls hovering on breezes; napping to the sounds of surf crashing.

Do you know what really doesn’t make sense – the over generalization of everything. And even worse people accepting it. Like all Hispanics are not the same, all whites are not the same, all the blacks are not the same and for sure all men and women are not the same. The USA needs a lumpectomy. The only people who gain from lumping all genders, races and ethnicities together are people with agendas who find they accomplish what they want by dividing people. Let’s start looking at individuals instead of blindly following those who would define us for their own selfish objectives.

Personally, green is my favorite color. I like it better than blue and yellow combined.

Here’s one reason why you have to be careful about getting over excited from news reports. Black headlines have been shouting each positive test for MLB Players. But so far 99.73% of tested players have been negative. We live in a Chicken Little country.

Julian Edelman for President.

Sign language is pretty handy.

Kelly Preston, wife of John Travolta appears to me as being an actress you could actually like as a friend. She died last night at the young age of 57 after long battle with breast cancer. All deaths are sad. But this one, at 57…

As long as she didn’t talk to me about Scientology.

The Question:

Who was Catherine Parr? A. A Host for The CBS This Morning Show in 1976. B. The last wife of Henry the Eighth. C. The Captain of the USA Women’s World Cup Champion Soccer team.

The Headlines:

--Stocks Jump On News oF Pfizer, BioNTech Receiving “Fast Track Designation For Covid Vaccine Development.

--Washington NFL Team To Drop Redskins.

--Japan Furious At US For Covid Outbreaks At Marine Bases There.

--Pope Distressed Over Turkey Turning Hagia Sophia Into Mosque.

--WH Mounts Campaign To Discredit Fauci.

--Young 4th Of July Revelers At Michigan Lake Turn Up With Covid;

Another thing that is killing chances for a reasonably harmonious society is guilt by association. Barbra Streisand is an exceptional talent regardless of her liberalness. Is Wagner’s wonderful music still some of the most melodic ever, even though Hitler played it. Are people who do nothing but good for their fellow human beings to eb despised because of one uttered word? Humans have frailties but the depth of their souls allows them to overcome their pasts as they gain knowledge and experience. Unfortunately, we have too many groups who are “Burning the books”.

Eating out seems a lot more expensive now than it did before Covid.

Why is “B” so cool? Because it’s in the middle of the AC.

Here’ s a how some of the press would write a headline about North Korea Dropping an A-Bomb on San Francisco: Today, the United States of America officially declared war on dysfunctional family raised Kim’s North Korea by president Trump, who once called Mexican immigrants, rapists. I’m not kidding.

Oldies but Punnies, Department:

--I couldn’t quite remember how to throw a boomerang, but then it came back to me.

--So, did you hear about the indian chief who whose three wives gave birth at just about the same time. For wife one’s boy he made a deer hide teepee. For number two, also a boy, he built a teepee of antelope hide. For the third wife he built a two story teepee of hippopotamus hide. Then he asked the tribe to guess what wife three had. Nobody got it until one brave said, “Twin Boys.” The Chief smiled and congratulated him, but asked how he knew. The brave said, “It’s elementary. The value of the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to suns of the squaws of the other two hides.”

Read that joke fast! It was just cancelled by culture reorientation.

President Obama was the guy who started all this name changing stuff when we changed Alaska’s Mount McKinley (Honoring an assassinated president) To Denali. Personally, I think he was paid by the Northface outdoor clothing manufacturer to promote its bestselling jacket.

“When you do common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” –George Washington Carver.

“A more perfect union.” This may be a most important line in the constitution, and perhaps the essence of what the founders were trying to achieve when creating a nation unlike oppressive states of the past. A knew kind of place where the colonies to become states were deemed sovereign, and often characterized by the Supreme Court as being like foreign countries to one another. The prefect union was one where common objectives of all the states would be understood by all to be better implemented by a central government, but a central government none the less beholding to the individual states. (Barack Obama gave a ‘More Perfect Union” speech primarily to distance himself from Rev Wright, but in it he also that loosened the idea of state sovereignty buy suggesting that breathing entities like a nation should look to grow beyond its past.) There are ways for a government achieve more efficiencies for the benefits of states, but taking away the state’s ability to limit a proactive government should never be the collateral damage from seeking a more perfect union.

When you think about it, the passage of the income tax amendment was the beginning of the diminished ability to remain significantly independent. Money talks, Idealism walks.

Actually, Obama’s “MPU” Speech was pretty fair-minded look at how the distances between races, and agreed that both sides should understand disagreements and overcome them for harmony.

But, then he got elected.

Bruckner’s unique music style is pretty readily identifiable. But it is not that interesting.

Education is certainly one of the areas where the Central government is intruding much too much on state sovereignty.

Vladimir Lenin: “Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world”.

A band of leaping insects playing old time music is called “Blue Grass Hoppers”. Not funny.

Every time a cowardly government leader excuses an act of vandalism, some loon becomes inspired to take it one notch further.

Too many people in this society of ours have never been told “No”.

The Answer:

Catharine Parr was the final Consort Queen of the House of Tudor and the last of Henry the VIII six wives. Catherine had four husbands, making her the most married Queen in English history. She outlived Henry by about a year and a half, which also made her unique.

Happy new week, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y! It feels good. Normally I’d be writing about the impending beginning of NFL training camps. Instead I’m watching the development of Baseball, Hockey and basketball training camps. I guess that is to be expected in our up-side-down world. We just got to get used to it, and what will be coming next. Something will come next, that’s for sure. Just so long as it isn’t President AOC.
