Baseball, then football. Relief.

Today's Tids Issue 4,699

No brainer days ahead:

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited today. The Red Sox begin their Covid delayed season. There are priorities, and then there are meaningful priorities. Btw, did you notice last night that for the opening day of a Covid shortened season we had a rain shortened game? As Rosanna always said, “There’s always something.”

After a particularly tough day the plumber felt drained.

Considering the culture cancel mess and statue decapitation, I thought it was quite funny to read GOP Rep Louis Gohmert’s bill proposal that would ban the Democratic Party and other groups, “That historically have supported the Confederacy and slavery in the United States.” How great is that! I’ll be laughing at that one all day long. :O)

It appears that the Stock markets caught up with overpriced Tech stocks today. Tech earnings reports have been underwhelming, and growing CV concerns cloud the future of the entire economy. The luxury of unsupported higher pricing may recede for a while. Unfortunately, techs have been the bright light driving a questionable economy. Reality sucks.

How come people leave multi-thousand-dollar cars in the driveway to make room in the garage for their junk?

The Question:

Who was the first US President born a US Citizen? Bonus: Who are considered the Top 19 Best Dancing Singers?

The Headlines:

--China/US Tensions Spiraling As Countries Order Closings Of Each Other’s Consulates; Asian Markets Lowe As A Result Of Increase Agita; US Dow To Open Moderately Lower; Nasdaq Tanks; Apple Not What The Doctor Ordered, But Gains Back After Crushing Opening.

--Pacific Storm Douglas Rises rapidly To Major Hurricane Status; Now Headed Towards Hawaii.

Duh Headline of the Week:

“Obama Blasts Trump, Praises Biden in New 2020 Campaign Video.” Yes, they actually printed that as news. No wonder the papers are going under.

One of the pleasant morning wonders is taking a long walk and seeing new flowers in bloom. You expect dramatic changes in spring, but now as summer drears on, new bursts of color and new kinds of blossoms paint the urban landscape. Will nature’s wonders ever cease? Let’s hope not.

Basically, anti-police protestors are good for criminal rights. Everybody these days wans rights, no matter what the do to society in general, and to other human beings in particular.

A lot of Red Sox fans will be watching LA box scores to see if Mookie Betts is worth the $400 Million he’ll be getting over 12 years from the Dodgers.

I have to imagine that rubber Bullets hurt too. I mean that they’re not talking nerf rubber here.

One of the biggest negative outcomes from the Covid tragedy is that a lot of people, especially progressive lefty politicians will have evidence that money does grow on trees.

I have had about eight bucks in my pocket for about three weeks now. Yes, life has changed.

Yes, there are signs of new old life emerging, though highly regulated life. The NFL rookies are coming to training camp today and next week all of the stars are supposed to arrive. So there is some hope for mind easing frivolity. It will be all good if the chorus isn’t about how it used to be. Cause, it just ain’t gonna be that way, At least for the immediate future. So as the wise old Tids editors have said before in this morning mess, get used to it! I know I’ll be happier if i just totally enjoy talking what’s there.

I have to say that after watching Hamilton on the Disney channel, I am just not as overwhelmed as are the experts and the adherences of the show. You have to wonder if a good percentage of the throngs who say they love the show, it’s the best ever, have been intimidated by public opinion. As one intelligent person said, “If I had paid $500 to see it on Broadway, I would have slit my throat.”

I always capitalize the word “Citizen” because I think they are about as important as anybody this country.

The Answer:

Martin Van Buren, born in 1782 after the acceptance of The Constitution was the first US born Citizen President. Bonus: Michael Jackson considered Number one Singer/Dancer. Makes Sense. Next is Chirrs Brown followed by J-Lo. The rest are Shakira, Britany Spears, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson and James Brown. At 11 we have Bruno Mars followed by Prince, Fred Astaire, Beyoncé, Elvis Presley (That was dancing?), Ciara, Gene Kelley, Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, and Freddie Mercury. Paula Abdul is was almost known as a dancer first, was way down at 26. Judy Garland and Tina Turner were 30 and 31. Taylor Swift was 60.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
