Where are you Barry Goldwater.

Today's Tids Issue 4,953

Do the children know:

There are more people who fear socialism than those who laud it. But unfortunately, there is a large segment of the population who have no clue about what socialism can do, and they become the fodder of the loudest pro-socialism voices. Especially when checks from the Government keep showing up in the mail.

I get a lot of good facts from readers that help me add depth to the stories. So I use the factual suggestions often, unless I don’t like the facts, Hey, wait! I sound like a liberal.

I tend to feel young and Vigorous and aware, until I read a list of current popular actors. Then I realize I am totally out of touch.

“Hubert Humphrey talks so fast that listening to him is like trying to read Playboy magazine with your wife turning the pages”.  --Barry Goldwater.

The Question:

What are considered the the Top Ten Songs of the 1980’s?

The Headlines:

--Markets Opee Higher, Tuns Negative In Late Midmorning; Consumer Spending Report Comes In Higher Than Expected; Mid-Term Historical Analysis Says Stocks Should Perform Well Through Year.

--German Flood Deaths Up To 126, With Many 100’s Still Missing.

--Boston-New York Baseball Game Postponed Due To Ya, Ya, Ya…Covid Cases.

--White House Lays Out Plan To Disrupt Ransomware Gangs, And Interrupt Their Digital Infrastructure.

--LA County To Re-Mandate Inside Mask Wearing.

I think one of the biggest mistakes the voting public ever made was not voting for Barry Goldwater.

I saw a woman on TV last night saying that she is a vegan and her hobby is nutrition and fitness. I’d die first.

“Where is the politician who has not promised to fight to the death for lower taxes- and who has not proceeded to vote for the very spending projects that make tax cuts impossible?” --Barry Goldwater

If socialism came to Saudi Arabia, in three years there would be a shortage of sand.

With the $40 Million “Player Impact” bonus, the PGA Tour has sold its soul to the pop culture devil. I ah eve asked several serious lovers of golf their opinions, and every single one says without hesitation that it is a terrible idea. The trashing of Golf…Aaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

“Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.” –Barry Goldwater.

I love watching the British…, excuse me, “The Open” in the morning. It is always intense, competitive golf, and it doesn’t interrupt the evening newscasts.

I think that if Goldwater had been elected, we would have had the new era of the Sensible Society instead of the “Great Society”.
