Interpretations are killing us.

Today's Tids Issue 5,016

I thought we were looking at the same thing:

I removed the shell from my racing snail to make it faster. It just got more sluggish.

That sounds a bit like the stock markets these days. This morning broke strong after yesterday’s lower jobless benefits’ claims numbers and today's stronger than expect retail enthusiasm. And the bank and financial company earnings reports are booming. But expect sluggishness to return after more companies shed their protective shell to report lower top and bottom-line forecasts going forward. And with the prospects of the critical supply chain being in lock down for at least 6 more months. So just hold your breath and lower your pace, and watch carefully the long, slow trip across a wide road for all snails, and the mere few that will make it through the traffic.

Today is National Grouch Day. I call it “National Rational Thinking Against the Insidious Encroachment of Wokeness Day.”

The Question:
During the Seventies, the Carpenters were considered a refreshing change after several years of antidisestablishmentarian songs and artists. What were five of the Carpenter’s best songs?

The Headlines:

You know, living on a tropical volcanic island may not be a good long-term plan as the earth has evolved over the multi-thousands of years making and breaking land masses.

I have noticed that around here in school zones on state highways, 99.9% of cars slow down immediately to stated lower speed limit. There is hope for society.

With waiting room patients buried into their phones, the docs don’t have to worry about 8-month-old magazines any more.

The case against police brutality is mainly the result of hyper exposure of anecdotal incidents.

Social media is a little like guns… it social media the problem, or is it the people using it.

A real problem for law enforcement is this constitutional protection of personal freedom called “Excessive force”. If EF can be proven, it can null an arrest ad necessarily void the need for the trial. The big question -- how do you detriment what is excessive force? And what were the circumstances that caused force to appear more excessive. As you can imagine, one person’s brutality can be another person’s cotton candy.

There are lots of tight ropes to walk in Law enforcement these days.

I mentioned yesterday that the big SS Cola increase will be eaten away faster than piranha devouring a wildebeest. Medicare Part D is going from $26 to $70 a month. That is a 207% increase! Thach you big bloated Government for being so kind to us all.

Reading Between the Lines, Movie Reviews:

--The Duel is really a critique of Systemic Misogyny. It really doesn’t work that well in the social awareness arena, but critics and audiences love it because it is good entertainment. It’s about a woman who refuses to stay silent after she is raped by her husband’s closest friend. He, an intelligent a most admired nobleman, denies it. The Husband, a courageous knight known for n bravery the battlefield, turns against his old friend. The trial for justice becomes a grueling Duel to death. The Duel is based on real events during the 100 Yars war. It is the story of France’s last a sanctioned duel.

--Hollowed Kills is a continuation of the old slasher series and is more gory than ever, And isn’t that good, unless you love shashing

The Answer:

Karen Carpenter (She died young at 33) and her brother Richard, had a lot of hits in a short period of time. They had three number one singles and five number 2 singles. #10 is, I Need to Be in Love. Going up to one we have Sing, Yesterday Once More, Hurting Each Oter, Superstar, Close to You, I Won’t Last a Day Without You, Goodbye to Love, Rainy Days and Mondays, and #1 – We’ve Only Just Begun.

Humming yet?

With all of the instant news on phones and tablets, and the 24/7 cable news channels, you’d think there would be more to write about.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
