Today's Tids Issue 5,021

Strategy vs Stubbornness:

Where would civilization be if we only accepted as is? Where would our lives be if we never explored beyond?

The last thing Repubs want as they try to capitalize on Joe B’s blunders and falling ratings to win back Indy voters an moderate fence sitters is to have Trump on a soapbox talking about lost elections. It isn’t about emotion any more. It is about strategy. It is about winning again. It is about tomorrow.

You know the supply chain thing is getting bad when restaurants are offering chicken meals at “Market Price”.

Someone stole the police station’s toilets. They have nothing to go on.

The Question:

Name 3 Ernest Hemmingway novels. Bonus: Nine countries have successfully launched satellites into orbit. Name them.

“I think you can make fun of anything except things people can't help. They can't help their race or their sex or their age or illnesses, so you ridicule their pretension or their ego instead. You can ridicule ideas - ideas don't have feelings. You can ridicule an idea that someone holds without hurting them.” -- Ricky Gervais

Rand Paul 1; Anthony Fauci 0. Fauci and Paul brawled during a Senate hearing with omnipresent doctor repeatedly denying Paul’s accusation that the US funded Wuhan Labs research on. Yesterday NIH wrote a letter saying that the US funded the Wuhan “gain-of-function research on bats infected with coronaviruses.” You’d think some intrepid reporter might have worked feverishly to get to the bottom of that exchange between the Senator and the Covid superstar. You; think, if it were a real world.

Some accuse Americans and companies like Moderna as being selfish because they won’t release Covid vax doses or secret, private developmental data to the rest of the world. Yesterday India announced they had reached delivering1Billion doses of Covid vaccines.

After getting used to government handouts for not working it appears a lot of these much-needed workers are refusing to work for real world wages that businesses can afford, in order to provide services and products consumers can afford.

Here’s a weird one: Today is NATIOAL CAPS LOCKS DAY. Who knew?

Climate Change scientists have now found that a changing climate is going to be more responsively for more and more Covid like pandemics, Aha – anything to scare the public into agreeing on higher taxes to fight the rascal climate.

“Sometimes being old is used as an insult, which is bizarre because, if you're lucky, that's literally going to happen to you. It's a strange thing to gloat about: being born recently.” -- Ricky Gervais

In today’s world you are always susceptible of being accused of something and never knowing what it hit you between the eyes with a 2x4.

I guess Anderson Copper had a pretty lame interview with the president yesterday. Or as a regular person observed, “He didn’t ask questions, he gave answers. In an embarrassing segment when the president tried to explain away his inability to get to the explosive southern border, he said, “Well, you don’t see pictures of children in cages laying atop of each other anymore?” Yes, it’s true. Reporters, photographers and drones have been banned from being at the border and in refugee camps. Well, what od you know, no pics of kids.

“I'm a scientist at heart, so I know how important the truth is. However inconvenient, however unattractive, however embarrassing, however shocking, the truth is the truth, and wanting it not to be true doesn't change things.” --Ricky Gervais

The Answer:

Ernest wr0oe The Sun Also Rises, For Whom the Bell Tolls, A Farewell to Arms ad Old Man and the Sea. Bonus: The USA of course is one. Russia was early too, China is there as is Japan and United Kingdom. Those are the big five. The others are Frace, European Space Agency, India, Iran, Israel, Ukraine and North Korea. South Korea is working hard to be next.

Just because the Constitution protects freedom of speech, it doesn’t mean you have to stop thinking.

Have a great Weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
