The calming sea.

Today's Tids Issue 5,218

TMI:

The ocean rolls.

The ocean surges, it feels rage.

And it enjoys the return to calm.

It surges

It crests,

It explodes

It is deep like love can be

It is a mystery like life can ne

It is full of conflicting life

Yet it rolls on.

Touching every shore.

Thrilling every heart.

It each day it finds a low.

But always comes back to another high

The ocean is resilient,

Why can’t we be like the ocean.

That storms are only on the surface

But the peace is deep.

I’ll tell you what was annoying. Tj hose MLB all-star uniforms were annoying. They looked like cheap off-Broadway show costumes.

Joe B’s cancer remarks yesterday were distasteful. But then, he is just another politician. What would you expect.

Today is National Junk Food Day! I’m there!

Tye just found 100-Million-year-old dinosaur footprints. All of our angst today is just a mere blip in the life of earth’s existence.

The Question:

Name the five most important battles of the Civil War.

The Headlines:

Today is also National Take a Monkey to Lunch.Day. I’m serious. So, I looked it up and found that Monkeys are banned in almost every single state. So today is basically National Break a State Law Day.

Are we living in an era of imploding governments. Are governments any better or any worse than they were. Or do we just have too much social media driving negativity?

So, if the US government declares a heat National Emergency, what happens?

All our local media were crying heat wave on TV last night, but yesterday I walked the rocky shore amidst the mist from crashing waves, and it was about 77 with a 15-20 mph breeze. Sorry ot rub it in.

A very good friend of mine told me once that McDonalds was not food. One of the main objectives of this morning mess is to remind people that if they aren’t eating truly great foods like Kentucky Fried Chicken and Mashed potatoes with rich creamy gravy, they are missing life itself.

By the way, did you notice that at the British Open players and attendees didn’t rush out for a big steak. No, in Scotland it is much preferred to dive into Raist beef with brown gravy. Who says the British don’t know how to cook.

Just to show you how weird the world has become, today is also National Invite an Alian to live with you Day! Great! What happens if their green bodies clash with my home décor?

I see the words: Cleveland Guardians and it still goes right over my head.

I have been following regularly the Tour de France, but I have to say I haven't a clue of how the scoring works and why the leaders are leading.

The most important thing in congress right now is retaining the Nascar EPA exemption for carbon emission limits.

A local reporter asked the question this morning: “Would a ranger make Newport Parks safer?” I didn’t know they were unsafe. Maybe I should look over my shoulder more. Thanks for seeding doubt, anal person.

The Newport Folk Festival begins tomorrow. In addition to the thousands who will be taking bikes and autos and boats there, the town will be full of small concerts for a week. I’ll be hiding in a secluded cove.

The Folks playing at the folk festival ain’t who they used to be. Based on the bits of news I have heard about new styles of talent, the regular older folks may be saying, did I come to the right festival. It is expected there will be more contemporary explorations ike rap and HipHop and other innovations. I would frankly classify some new stuff more like jazz, the festival; that which comes here next week.

Old folk singers never die, they just don't get invited to the main stage.

The Answer:

I can imagine that Civil War buffs (I’m not one) will find disagreement. Number one is First Bull Run. Next is Fort Donelson (One of Grant's First victories) followed by Antietam, Chancellorsville, Vicksburg, Gettysburg and Atlanta. (Source: History Channel)

On a hot day, an angry ocean’s mist can cool the scorching earth.

Tomorrow I’ll try to be funny for the weekend.
