Follies, Foibles and Disfunction.

Today's Tids Issue 5,271

Hope is the greatest:

We looked for the rainy season with anticipation.

Now we all complain of too much precipitation.

The human nature syndrome strikes again – Oh the poor farmers. Of poor me, I’m stuck in the house.

I'm all for natural evolution of the species. I think everything works better with that. Forced diversity is not that.

Sign in Naples Florida: “Loot and I’ll shoot”.

So, if a cow doesn’t produce milk, is it milk dud or an udder failure?

The Question:

Today is National Golf Day., The rain and wind and cold of day stayed me from my appointed round. What are the top Ten golf Cities in America?

The idea of low grade tactical nuclear weapons is just one stupid idea. But the talk grows noisier. I guess that’s what happens to rational thinking when backed into corners.

I didn’t think wearing orthopedic shoes would help, but I stand corrected.

Is this going to be the year of Sepp Staka on the PGA Tour?

Indigenous people and native Americans are up in arms against this myopic admin because they can’t s explore fossil fuels on their own lands. Evolution of change works better than forced changes.

I was at a lawyer the other day and watched him pull out that Notarizing device. I looked at it and realized it is exactly the same as my grandfather's which I have at home. Sure enough, I checked mine and it was. And mine form about 1915 still works fine. The moral of this tale is, if ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

And how about those older round s thermostats that were easy to see and use and regulated the heat just as well as the digital variety

Now it appears that parents will have to worry about kids getting fentanyl in their Halloween candy scavenging. There are some horrible people in this world.

The Answer:

The Top Ten USA Cities for Golf are Scottsdale Ariz, Orlando, Cincinnati(!), Las Vegas, San Fran, Winston Salem NC, LA, Savannah, Augusta and Rochester NY at #10 Kodak must have had a lot of golfing execs). Golf got its start in the northeast. The first US Open was in Newport RI. How did northeast cities fare: Rochester was 10. Then NYC was 64, Yonkers NY 74, Boston 96, Springfield Ma 101, Syracuse 150, Worcester 169, Providence RI 170, Buffalo 184 and Bridgeport Ct 199. There were three in Pennsylvania and another in Grand Rapids Michigan, Cleveland and Akron Ohio, Minneapolis Minn, Patterson NJ and Fort Wayne Indiana. All the rest except for a couple in Washington and Oregon were in the sunbelt and deserts from the Atlantic to the California Pacific.
