Color me Fall

Today's Tids Issue 5,320

In awe:

Too many people spend too much time packaging people into fileable pods, and it just isn't good for society when people don't think they can be themselves

It seems to me that the underling objective of the national powers that be is to embarrass people who don’t do anything. Yes, advertising and life advice gurus and officials tend to say just don’t be a fool and sit there dumb and happy, get out there and do something, buy something. And yes, go into debt so you won't be an outcast in society.

I personally believe despite all the angst you hear from combative sides is that most Americans just want to go to their jobs and live in their societies and families and enjoy what they like to enjoy and mainly just be left alone to live their own lives to the best of their ability.

This may come as a shock to a lot of people, but most humans can do things and make decisions on their own without help of bureaucrats and government agencies. Try us.

The Question:

What singing group with what song was on the first commercially pressed CD?

The Headlines:

--Walmart Smashes Through Expectations; Mortgage Rate I Hits 7%; Bond Yields Up, Stocks Taking Bath.

--New AP/NORC Poll: Biden has 42% Approval Rating; 36% on Economy Handling.

--Ex-Wife of Slain Microsoft Exec Jared Bridegan Arrested for His Murder.

One of the worst things I have heard of lately is the real estate opportunists, predatory land grabbers rushing in to steel the land from the Maui victims. Hit em’ when they are down is about as low as any human can go. Of course, some will say it is just good business practice. Not for me.

A new Billboard Listing has the most Dynamic Lead Singers of All Time. They are Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks, Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Curt Cobain, David Byrnes, Debbie Harry, George Clinton, Bono, and Number 10, Axl Rise. Let the arguments begin.

Early voting in a special primary to pick a new Congress person began yesterday. Yet, the forums and debates designed to help people understand who-is-who in a pretty much nameless slate doesn't begin for another week. Yes, having knowledgeable people voting is not good for pollical control.

Biden’s approval rating is low, and Trump’s is even lower. Yet one of the two guys without the full support of the country will probably be president. It’s a crying shame. And such a national result will assure the continuation of the caustic negative conversation.

There is a sense that the FedEx BMW leg in the PGA Season ending Championship could go to one of the players ranked in the 20 to 30 slots as the top players are already assured of being in the finals next week. A couple of the under the radar favorites are Max Homa, Hidekki Matsuyama and the Kims and Im. Sentimental favorites are Hovland, Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood.

A guy to whom I was talking to today said he thought all newly elected politicians should have their net worth recorded when they enter office and then when they leave. If, you get my drift.

How to make multi millions in months: Marry Britany Spears.

Here’s a scary headline from today’s news: “Noone knows how new weight loss drugs work.” Yikes!

The Answer:

Phillips Company of West Germany produced the first CD featuring ABBA singing “The Visitor”.

BTW, a true Rock n Roll expert and magical musicologist in general reads this mess and often keeps me inline when I’m off the scale, more flat than sharp. Ringo actually had two number one hits, and one wasn't the popular, “It don’t come easy” They were “Photograph” and “You’re Sixteen”.

Like it or not, here is your first official CD ever produced,
