Today's Tids Issue 4.653

Open if you dare:

It is just about impossible to hope for the elimination of politics as usual when there is so much money being created out of nothing in Congress. That’s the sad part.

A local nudist camp is conflicted. They wonder if the wearing of masks is illegal under strict all bare club rules. Some say no problem, they still will be recognizable even when wearing masks. But, others say, the real problem is no pockets.

I believe there isn’t any question that this upcoming Presidential campaign will see the rise of more scandals than ever seen in history – real or imagined. You can see it bubbling beneath the surface today.

A good reader wanted us to know that she and her furniture are very close. “She and her recliner go way back.” It’s always nice to touch the feelings of fellow Tidsters.

I suspect many organizations who may receive government approval to reopen may not as a caution against being sued by somebody who will find fault with something.

I think that basically General Flynn got screwed.

The hot, and significantly important, new buzzword in corporate America – “Cash management”. It like, liquidity or insolvency.

The local (Mass/RI) official fishing reports are saying there is not a lot of Cod swimming around in our waters, but that Haddock is plentiful. Personally, I prefer haddock.

The Covid Case/Death demographics I’ve been seeing tell me that if you can keep nursing home patients out of bars, taverns and associated restaurants can open safely.

The immediate reaction from populist politicians when there is any mention of funds for big business is a predictable one of horror followed by anecdotal heartstring stories. But the fact remains that all of these people on food lines, fighting landlords will only climb out of the morass if all the companies who create jobs are still there when the current trauma ends.

I have always wondered how many fishermen have lost smart phones overboard in their excitement to take photos of prize catches.

Pondering the Inconsistences, Department:

“Why can you go to Walmart but not Kohls? Or a dollar store but not a Mom and Pop place? Or, why can’t you have elective surgery but elective abortions are ok? What makes one person essential, and another dispensable? What happened to good ole’ regular flu? Why did the CDC have a job posting for pandemic relief workers in November 2019? Why did world leaders meet in China in October 2019? Why can 500 people shop in a Home Depot, but ae barred from going into a church?” That’s forma beekeeper in Flourtown Pa.
