The awe of discovery.

Today's Tids Issue 4.656

Importance is often a whim:

Even with something as dramatic and potentially dangerous as the Virus thing, Americans are drifting again into taking sides. Instead of collaboration on solutions, or at least understanding the sincere viewpoints of others, we are seeing lines drawn in the lab, at store entrances, in parks and on beaches. And what I’m beginning to see is how some are forgetting that with freedom comes responsibility.

When the clouds of vitriol descend upon common sense and hoped for mutual respect, it’s nice to have readers like you, and one who this morning thought beyond the rancor; who would remind us of pure love and romance, even when love has been tested by sadness. That such love that was so deep will always remain planted firmly in hearts. Here’s a poem he sent today. You will know it, but repeating again these feelings of Edgar Allen Poe, this of a man deadened by the tearful passing at but 24 of his most loved wife, have never been set forth so simply and beautifully.

“There was many and many a year ago.

In a kingdom by the sea,

That a maiden lived there whom you may know

By the name of Annabel Lee;

And this maiden she lived with no other thought

Than to love and be loved by me.”

They’ll never pin that bowling alley robbery on me.

The Question:

Name ten celebrities that Hollywood has forced on us.

The Headlines:

--Dow BOUNCES Back From Yesterday’s Profit Taking Session; Up 300 Points Mid-Morning.

--US Covid Death Total Passes 90K.

--Central Michigan Dam Breaks; Thousands Evacuated: Edenville Dam And Sanford Dam Have Catastrophic Failures; 43K Population Midland Mi Could Be Under 9 Feet Of Water.

--Planned Parenthood Facilities Improperly Applied For And Received $8o Million In CV Stimulus Funds.

--CVS Returns $43 Million In Stimulus Funds It Never Asked For.

--Biden Coming Out Of Cellar With Series Of Accusations Ripping Trump; Trump Re-rips.

Puppets on Parade:

Somehow local media around here have been convinced that it is news to report that the all Dem RI congressional delegation of four is backing Biden. It is Duh week again. Last night the four mistakenly took over TV in place of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy (Their first mistake) to answer good questions from a couple of good newsmen with democratic talking points. It would be refreshing someday to see them utter at least a creative or original thought. It is a pretty disheartening scene.

But then, Trump is always interrupting Price is Right regularly. Politicians only think they know what is important.

Half the people in the world are below average.

There is no question that a lot of people seeing the bright sun and feeling the comfortable warmer temperatures are having a harder time believe that on these beautiful days evil little germs are still dancing and bringing people down. As the days get warmer people will mingle. As the bars open people will get closer.

“It’s true that we don’t know what we got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.

My nightmare is Dems flipping just 3 Senate seats to take over. If you think Covid has changed America, think about would happen with no opposition left to slow dem demands. Repubs awakening to the importance of Congressional battles over the President skirmish is the only vaccine.

Name calling has become absurd. Turning the other cheek would be a nice change.

I have mentioned the stock Alibaba often here. It is the huge China eCommerce company that does what Amazon does only more of it worldwide. I mention this today because the stock is behaving well lately which tends to means that global financial people are seeing order back in China and perhaps relations with the US improving. And perhaps a world again in the consumer buying mode.

Once you accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing strips with pallid comes easy.

“…Than to love and be loved by me.”

The Answer:

I think I’m seeing trend in this answer. Number one is Kim Kardashian. She is followed by Kyle Jenner and then Caitlyn Jenner, Kris Jenner, Jaden Smith, Justin Bieber, Khloe Kardashian, Snookie Polizzi, Chris Brown and Donald Trump. I’ll go to 25. They are Scott Disick, Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, Nicki Minaj, Gigi Hadid, Iggy Azalea, Heidi Montag, Paris Hilton, Ryan Seacrest, Spencer Pratt, Adriana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Cardi B, Kevin Hart and Chrissy Teigen.

There are mornings when you arise and are suddenly struck by the beauty always there, but never seen. And you marvel at a world that has always been but that has now shown in a way you had ever experienced. And you are breathless.

Another of my tunes that I have not forgotten.
