After the two-minute warning.

Today's Tids Issue 5,091

There is always a little more:

Out of uncertainly comes stability.

Yes, neath life’s fragility

Lies strength, innate ability.

To rise beyond, face reality.

With that human capability

Of resourceful flexibility,

Beating each adverse probability

To overcome every hostility

On a path to comforting tranquility.

One way to overcome hostility is to stop reading the Tids, now! Says this Tidster in all humility

The Fed is in the middle of that fine line between fighting inflation and slowing economic growth. And Wall Street is hanging with them trying to understand which way it is going. Wall Street can be a sort of skitterish crowd of experts, so their drive is always towards certainty. Maybe those wizards will get a little of that after Powell speaks. That’s a little bit about what this is all about.

I root for Ash Barty to win the Australian open mainly because her’s is one of the few names I ca spell. I’m shallow like that.

If you cross a Patriot with a curly haired dog, you get a Yankee Poodle. God, did this Tids go downhill fast.

Big Papi, the Red Sox designated hitter Davd Ortez with the biggest smile in baseball, made it into the Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday. Despite Leo Derocher, most people like nice people to win.  Ever since I heard that phrase of Leo’s in 1948, my goal in life was to prove him wrong. Thanks to Papi for helping along the cause.

The Question:

What are considered the most beautiful lakes in the USA. Obviously, this will be about high-profile lakes, but there are many more beautiful that are unknown but special to many.

You have to feel sorry for Tonga, the island nation devasted by the Volcano eruption and Tsunami. And now frivolous humanity may be its next tragedy. They have been a virus free country, until perhaps today when a virus laden cruise ship was forced to dock in their harbor. What have we done to you God? We know we live in paradise. That’s why we avoid apples.

Electricity is really just organized lightning. --George Carlin

After Powell speaks today, there is a lot of hope that investors will look at the current market conidiation as a buy signal. As deep as any hole may appear, there is always bottom there somewhere. Or else they would call it a tunnel.

Why is there an expiration date on sour cream? —George Carlin

Hey, America hasn’t shut down. It is just reorganizing. Just think of all the growth ahead when we become unfettered again.

Now we have a former CIA nuke expert warning about a nuke possibility during the confusion revolving around Ukraine. Everybody wants to get into the act. That’s what happens when 24/7 news is looking for time fillers. Every expert is on call.

The Answer:

I actually read several lists and the consensus number one is Lake Powell. Others on multiple lists are Lake George NY, Crater Lake Oreg, Lake Tahoe Cal, and Echo Lake NH. Caddo Lake in Texas/La comes up to as do the bigs -- Lakes Superior and Michigan. Add to those Flathead Lake Mt, Champlain NY, Winnipesaukee NH, Yellowstone Lakee Wy, Hanging Lake Co, and The Lake of The Ozarks. New York is loaded with beautiful lakes, like for instance tee amazing Finger Lakes, but I know many of you have your own special private get-away places that are just perfect for you.

Just in case you think you may have caught me, I checked and Winnipesaukee is spelled correctly.

Resilience is a great attribute.

I’m going to have a gluten-free, lactose-free, low-carb pizza for dinner tonight. It is called a raw tomato.
