Musings form a perfect place.

Today's Tids Issue 3,388
Opening Stuff:

I was standing at waters edge this morning with nothing but pure beauty spread out before me. Maine is loaded with coves large and small. I knew immediately by the quality of the driftwood piled at the high tide line that there was something special here as I hopped the rocks on the boulder covered beach. The air was humidity free, the sun ws creating diamond necklaces across the expansive waters. I sat upon a large piece of perfectly weathered wood from who knows where and gazed at waters edge.  What had been left here, brought across the seas from afar. What had these waters touched. Omaha beach? Columbus wading ashore to a tropic isle? An apostle walking barefoot along a middle east beach bringing the words of his lord to those who had never heard? The sea is my encyclopedia, bible, history book, diary of memories past.

My grandson and I agreed that Utz Cheese Balls are far better than Sushi.

With all of the glitz added to Supermarkets in the last ten or so years, you wonder when shoppers find time to seek products in the traditional aisles. How do you drag yourself away from the growing menus of prepared food and accompaniments to shop for ingredients to make your own food? Obviously more people aren’t cooking at home and that is why the prepared sections are taking over stores. I wonder though, about how the stores make money managing all of the fragile prepared items.

The Question:
Scientists have discovered a danger to health called Fourth hand Smoke. What is it? Bonus: In what show did Linfda Carter get her start?

The Headlines:

--Jobless Claims Plunge To 1973 Levels.
--Deserter Bergdahl Captured In California Drug Bust.
--Greek Lawmakers Clear Way for new reforms.
--Tourists In Glacier national Park Abandon Cars As Forces Rush Down.

There evidence showing that the $15/hr wages in Washington State is not the worker panacea as envisioned by bureaucrats with charts and activists with bleeding hearts. It seems, according to early returns, that workers with new raises are asking for shorter hours so they won’t jump into economic categories that would eliminate freebies from the government. So basically The Gov in that pretty state has created money losing companies while managing not to interrupt the flow of outrageous money to dedicated professional losers.

I find it impossible to believe that an honest government would refuse to acknowledge the abuses of the system by unlawful immigrants.

I see where Jon Stewart told the President that he has little time left to take away America’s guns and impose martial law. A lot of people would not see the humor in soothing like that which is so close to home.

Speaking of smothering the constitution, Judicial Watch has issued a report saying that the IRS “targeting” of Repubs went well beyond just Tea Party organizations; that I aimed at to all donors, conservative and not so conservative. Is there anything more threatening to a free society than government watchdogs with intimidating and life crushing powers? And they are trying to tell me that Obama is Mr. Nice guy!

I love walking and inhaling past a person smoking on the street. I find the aromas delightful.

I was intrigued reading a post Apple earnings report that said, “Apple ‘fans’ did not respond to the watch has had been expected.” Apparently the company has based growth on the unquestioning rabid loyalty of mind numbed Mac Maniacs. The company hadn’t expected their constituency to actually stop and consider the necessity for a watch. There was no mother in this invention, and the Apple kids knew it.

Rewriting History, Department:
Uh-oh, here we go again – Connecticut Democrats have stripped the names of Presidents Jefferson and Jackson form their annual dinners because of ties to slavery. This is just another chapter in the new history books which will alter the past to meet the aims of new ideologies.

Remember the Alamo! Oops, that could go to.

The Parking Lot: Chapter 6.
Benjamin and Ephraim Hicks grew into fine young men after they got out from under the cloud that often followed the now departed  rambunctious sibling, John. Rumors were that John was still stirring up trouble and keeping the elders on edge in his new community of Weymouth, and that his wife joined with him in rebelling against the rigid town laws. Traders had told the family tht=at John may be looking at the lands on Aquidneck Island.
The equally rigid people in the Plymouth he left, were now more relaxed towards the Family, seeing the Hicks a little differently, slightly more favorably, but still wary of a group that produced and raised John.
Ben and Eph, and their younger brother Richard felt this unstated mistrust, and were eager to hear of tales of places beyond this cloistered community from traders, travelers and especially the Pequats. Through the years they became constant companions to Squanto during his many diplomatic missions to the colony.
The meager land of Robert restricted the ability of the men to produce enough for them selves, and as the girls had married into good families in the village. required substance to the new families. There was a lot of pressure to expand their holdings, and after hearing the stories of plentiful lands and waters in the western part of the colony which would be come Warren and Tiverton RI, they were eager to follow the explorers, but especially the smart, English speaking Indian.

The Answer:
4th Hand Smoke is a phenomena that has a profound effect on internal organs and the health of people from thinking about other people smoking.  You’ve seen em’. You know who the are. Bonus: Linda Carter of course was Wonder Woman.

When you’re in an environment of perfect peace, with no wifi or TV to interrupt, threre appears to be no news at allexept what you see in daily life. No politicians lies or exaggerations or cover ups. No declining stock markets or beheading on a foreign soil. Just people discovering worlds they have never seen amd finding good in people they never knew existed. This all makes ofr a very dull Tids.

I case you didn’t notice, this is an amalgamation of Thursday and Friday. Without Wifi, I was thinking of putting it in hundreds of bottles and tossing them on to the cool ocean to carry it to your home. But, I figured the environmental police would turn me over to the IRS, who would then fine me for using artificial sugar soft drinks. Bummer.

Have a great weekend E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y the
