Now what?

Today's Tids Issue 5,067

Evolving, always evolving:

One week left to plan your New Year’s resolutions. Just five days to repair character flaws, eating disorders and setting goals that only mother Teresa could meet one of her best days. Frankly, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I just try to govern my flaws all years long.

Microsoft continues to surprise everybody with their resiliency. Resiliency is a great quality to have.

You got to be “First” in something if you want to be elected, Department:

New President of Chile Gabriel Boric is the first ever Tattooed Prez! Did he campaign nude? Or is that naked. What’s Next.

The Question:

What was the HMS Beagle?

The Headlines:

Markets Up Nicely In Post-Christmas Sleighride From Opening To Closing.

--Fauci Suggests Must Vaccination For All Air Travelers.

--China Imposes Curbs O Foreign IPOs from Restricted Sectors.

--Covid Cancels 2,200 Flights Worldwide Today.

--Richard Marchinko, Firsts CO Of Navy SEAL Team 5 Dead At Age 81.

--Unnecessary Irrational Shooting Of The Day: Two Teens 14 And 17 At Gas Station Shootout In Texas.

I like to spend my mornings totally swathed in soft music instead of voices telling me what’s wrong with the world or weather. If there is something really bad with the world, they’ll tur off the music.

Why make New Year’s resolutions? Almost always they are not fulfilled and then people sit around moping, worrying what is wrong with them.

I just read computer maven Kim Komando’s easy to understand glossary of Crypto Currency terms. Say what? I like Kim, but what is easy and natural for a computer genius is not so obvious and easy to the average person.

After Christmas I seem to walk around my house continuously fir little scraps of torn red and green paper. I see them everywhere every inch of floor space throughout the house. It’s like they are alive, a new life specimen procreating under the couch.

How about the first President ever with no obligations to third parties, ideologies, religions, hysterical movements, lobbying organizations or any other potential irrational interference to reasonable decisions. That would certainly be unique.

The Trash Headline of the Day, Department: “How the greatest scene I White Lotus was filmed.” There were no great scenes in White Lotus.

The Answer:

The HMS Beagle was the ship of Charels Darwin. Darwin was an English naturalist, geologist and biologist, and as you all know best known for his contributions to the science of evolution. His five-year voyage on HMS Beagle established him as an eminent geologist whose observations and theories supported Charles Lyell's conception of gradual geological change. The publication of his journal of the voyage made him famous as a popular author. He was particularly puzzled by the geographical distribution of wildlife and fossils he collected on the voyage. Yes, a good ponderance I’d say. Why are some species found only in one location it the vast planet upon which we live? Something to think about while waiting for your New Year’s Eve Party.

Why did humans evolve to a point where they would prefer gathering i the midst of a crowd crow of millions on a cold winter’s night in the center of a large city riddled with crime and rife with covid? And not enough port-a-johns? Does Darwin have an answer for that?

Here’s to evolving pleasantly and seamlessly into a new year, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
