If ever the world should stop for a moment, it is now. Today is National Veterans of the Viet Nam War Day. Never has a group who gave so much deserved so much from all who live in freedom.
The Women’s Final Four is set: UConn, South Carolina, Stanford and Louisville. It should be a great one. UConn coach Gene Auriemma who has seen many a great game at the highest levels said after last night's overtime win over higher seeded NC State, that it was the greatest game he had ever seen. BTW, UConn, which was down all year in the rankings, is surging back again probably because last year's NCAA Woman Player of the Year, Sophomore Paige Bueckers is back form an injury that kept her out up till about a week or so ago. That makes this final four possibly one of the best.
The sudden death of Foo Fighter’s drummer superb Taylor Hawkins was big deal. I don’t know much about him, but I know now that Lots of people cried a day or so ago. A lot of music fans found something missing now. It wasn't just at a great drummer was lost, an admired person, human being at just 50 will not be laying down a beat anymore. Family and people who knew him well all say, “We will miss his laugh”.
I was thinking of writing a few jokes about unemployed people, but none of them work.

Last year the US budget was $4.5 Trillion. Covid added another 4.5 Tril. Economists said we will get back to normal overspending when the Covid number fades. I think I said yesterday that the biggest problem was that they set a precedent for spending mad politicians. Yesterday Prez Joe announced his $5.8 trillion Budget. If my addition is correct, that is an increase of 28,888888% over last year's real budget of $4.5%. The pols will say, look naïve Americans, we have reduced the budget.
LeBron James is a great, great basketball player, but shooting a ball does not translate to silver screen. LeBron Won the Razzie this week for Worst Performance by a person who didn’t know what acting was. Th worst movie was “Diana: The Musical”. The Diana cast, reaped several worsts including Deanna De Waal, who played Diana, for worst actress, and director Christopher Ashley for worst director. Actress Judy Kaye, who plays Queen Elizabeth II and author Barbara Cartland, Diana's step-grandmother, won for worst supporting actress. The film also won for worst screenplay.
Dems generally held all Trump aids in contempt way before there was Jab 6 committee.
Speaking of Razzie awards. I think I just won one for... Did you see where Apple is designing a new self-driving car. But they're having trouble installing Windows! Razzie for worst Pun of the day.
The over the weekend weatherman said we have a nice "Mild” day on tap for s Sunday - 45 degrees. So, the word mild is another of those words of relativity. In Florida the weather person would say we have a mild day coming in at 65 degrees. The Floridians would be disappointed with “Mild” at 65 while we up hereare elated at a wonderful day of 45. Everythign is relative.
