Time to enjoy a simple tune

Today's Tids Issue 5,249

Music is Personal:

Yesterday’s Q was about the greatest celebrity chefs. But one great reader exclaimed. “Oh no, none of those. It was my mom” Yes, I must agree. Mom was always best because she knew.

One of the more dangerous trends, fads in these United States of ours are threats to judges and other government officials. And now this under the surface scuttlebutt about a potential civil war just scares the hell out of me. Now more than ever because of the mob attack on the Capitol.

We still have to keep American honest the old-fashioned way, with votes.

Whatever you do always give 100 %. Unless you are donating blood.

The Question:

What do US consumers are their favorite musical genre?

The Headlines:

--Markets Open Lower, Stay Low Through Late Morning; B, B and B Gets Crushed, Down 45% On News That Ryan Cohen Sold Entire Holdings (11.8% Of Company); Kohls Also Tumble After Reporting Weak Sales And Massive Cut In Future Success Estimate.

--McConnell Warns GOP May Not Win Senate;

--Biased Brian Stelter Dropped By CNN As Cable News Giant Moves Towards the Middle.

Despite all of the exclaiming headlines, you just n know that AI is still in its infancy when you observe the daily ineptitude of Spell-Check

If the Tids today seem to be drifting it is because my mind is squarely focused on the Pats game tonight.

“The clever cat eats cheese and breathes down rat holes with baited breath.” --WC Fields

Speaking of football games. I suspect that the Notre Dame-Ohio States game on September 3 will be one of the most watched this year. At least one that isn't watched by Georgia or Alabama fans, students and alums.

The best way to determinate the best college teams in the land is through intersectional games and ND vs. OSU is destined to be a classic example of it.

If you ever see me putting the word “The” in front of the words “Ohio State”, then you know I’ve given up my life’s principles and it is time to send me to the old Tidster’s home.

Either recent “Jumble” puzzles have gotten tougher, or my brain is getting softer.

This has been a very good “Jobs Added” year so far. But a new economic survey from PW Pulse showed “50% of companies are planning to reduce overall headcount. Additionally, 46% of companies said they are dropping or reducing signing bonuses, while 44% are rescinding offers”. The new focus will be on mix of skills and not just blunt bulking up.

“Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.” --Oscar Wilde

There’s a lot of publicity chatter about the second season of White Lotus. Just warn me early enough so I don’t get trapped into watching that irritable loser again.

The Danger Zone, Department:

NYU Professor and Former Member of Meuller Russia investigation Team Andrew Weissmann said the stipulation that Weisselberg must testify truthfully for his deal to remain intact makes it “much harder” for the Trump Organization to defend itself in its caseWeisselberg, the “Know it all” guy in the Trump Company, dating dates his tenue back to 1973 when he was hired by Fred Trump, DT’s father. Yes he rose quickly through the company as a personal and corporate go-to guy for the family and he knows it all. Whatever, “It All”, is.

I’m not surprised that Kohls is having revenue problems. They offer so many coupons and deals that sometimes after buying a product they owe you money.

The Answer:

Number one is Rock followed by Pop, Country, R&D/Soul, Hip Hop, Easy Listening, Electronic Dance, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Heavy Metal, Reggae, Folk, Latin.

I didn't know whether to end this mess with folk, jazz, swing, pop, rock or classical, So I chose this because I like Sarah Brightman.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-yb-o-d-y!!
