Always young at Christmas.

Today's Tids Issue 5,323

Stunning silence of winter's day:

I think the world is moving much too fast. We don’t even have a chance to become complacent anymore. The idea now-a-days seems to be a driving need to inject anxiety into daily living, and then issuer news to report on and analyze the apoplexy. I think if we do anything next year as a society it is to get back to casual contentment and not overreact to what is way too much useless information.

There is an awful lot of vicious national arguing over a lot of stuff I never knew existed.

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to savor some Cold Stine Creamery ice cream cupcakes. It was one of those special moments in life. An out of body experience that didn’t need rich creamy chicken gravy.

It appears that NCAA basketball patsy season is finally over. That’s a good thing.

The Question:

The CDC keeps track of all beverages that people drink. There are 7 nonalcohol drink categories on the list. Name them in order of popularity from 1 through 7.

The Headlines:

--Global Money Tightening by Central Banks Has Stock Markets Worried; Dow Turns Positive in Late Morning.

--Major 6.4 Earthquake Hits Northern California.

--SC Issues Temporary Order to Keep Title 42 on Illegal Migrants in Place

--J6 Committee Sends Criminal Referrals About Trump to DoJ.

The J6 criminal referrals highlight the committee’s opinion of criminal activity during the post 200 election but as many Repubs and also Dems echoing te words of Senator Whitehouse former Ri AG say, “The opinion of legislators about prosecution carries little weight at the Department of Justice.”

“One thing I don’t do as I begin to look more warn out and haggard is stand near the curb on trash day. “

It’s about this guy George Santos who won a congressional seat in NY this last election. Now, I am all for Repubs, but this is ridiculous. Whatever happened to honesty. In case you missed it, the college attendance and work experience info submitted by Santos could not be verified at all. Nobody can figure out how he became so rich. But regardless of the innuendo described in the NY Times report, he is still innocent until found guilty. Most Repubs though have become silent, worried of course about their razor thin margin in the house. But there has been many a shadowy character elected to Congress over the years. In that august institution it is always, "He without guilt should throw the first stone.

God, save me! Why am I talking about dishonesty during Christmas time.

Remember when the Johnny Cash song, "A Boy Named Sue” was quite the sensation. But that was yesterday and today iswhole new world.

There are facts and there are anectodical exponential fabrications.

Wells Fargo just seems to continually fall short of “cleaning up its act”.

If as you age, you’re feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, Trillions of dollars and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Well, J6 is done. I always thought the attack on the Capitol was a disgrace. It reminded me of news clips I have seen over the years of out-of-control populations in chaotic tyrannically led countries. There are no redeeming words to excuse that unamerican act. It may be apples and oranges, but the mess at the southern border is actually similar. It is uncontrolled chaos and an assault on an immigration system that has always been fair. For all of those who condone the unlawfulness and help perpetuate illegal immigration, you are no different than those who thought attacking the Capitol was a good idea. We must preserve out institutions regardless of which side of te aiels we are on.

Some days you get the feeling that lawlessness is the new normal.

When I had covid a week or so ago I got used to watching “Price is Right”. Thats why the Tids seems later than usual.

Once again today, I opened a news item on the Internet to find another surprise Obit of a good friend, a very good and intelligent man. It really felt sad.

My mind is alike an Internet browser: At least 19 open tabs, 3 of them frozen and I have no clue where the music is coming from.”

The Answer:

#7 is diet sodas, mainly colas. #6 is Milk just ahead of fruit juices (Orange is king). At #4 we have Tea then non-diet sugar sodas mainly Coke and Pepsi. #2 is Coffee which they say is actually quite good for you. Number one is water. How bland is that. I do 2, 4 and 7 religiously every day.

About 6-8 months ago I lost two pairs of cheap glasses I really liked. I looked everywhere... for days. A few weeks ago both pairs suddenly turned up. What’s that all about?
