Nobody should have to cry alone.

Today's Tids Issue 5,311

Just take a minute:

How great is it that Iran has ceased the activities of their morality police. But that doesn’t mean that morality isn't a good thing to aspire to.

Do you get the feeling these days that millennial Kids will hire lawyers to fight the naughty or nice list. Talk abbot a target for wokism

When TCU lost Saturday following the USC loss Friday night, I’m thinking there are smiles abeaming at the College Football Playoff Committee round table. Now they can easily move back in OS or even Alabama. But politically it looks like they made the move to retain TCU. The SEC fans were hollering all  Sunday night long for an all SEC final four.

For the next couple of weeks, I’ll be looking for some Santa jokes that will sleigh you.

The Question:

Who were the first five Vice Presidents of the USA

The Headlines:

--Economy Looking a Little Too Rosy, Stocks Drop Early, Continue in the Hole in Late Morning.

--Blasts Hit Key Russian Air Bases Far from Ukraine.

--SC Hearing Arguments on Same Sex Marriage.

--Big Oil Producers to Keep Production at Current Levels.

--Java On High Alert as Mount Semeru Erupts and Rumbles.

--FBI To Join in Investigation Of North Carolina Power Station Suspected Sabotage.

“Waking Ned Devine” is one of those little movies I can watch over again. I never get tired of the scene where Jackie O’Shea eulogizes his best friend who is still alive in the congregation: “Michael O'Sullivan was my great friend. But I don't ever remember telling him that. The words that are spoken at a funeral are spoken too late for the man who is dead. What a wonderful thing it would be to visit your own funeral. To sit at the front and hear what was said, maybe say a few things yourself. Michael and I grew old together. But at times, when we laughed, we grew young. If he was here now, if he could hear what I say, I'd congratulate him on being a great man, and thank him for being a friend.” There’s always time to tell a friend how important their friendship is.

Trump’s new call to suspend the constitution is just plain nutty to me.

You can waste a lot of time reading exaggerated headlines on the internet. The Internet is often just rack of tabloid papers like at the Supermarket checkout line.

Michael Avenatti has probably learned that having a low profile is a better strategy.

Beware of Internet gambling companies trying to look family friendly.

I liked the last episode of The Crown I Saw which was about the emotional importance of finding one true love.

The Voice is in its second to last show for this season. The singing is often good but at this stage in the competition my interest is more about the game itself, trying to pick a winner. It is just another good competitive game to watch. Probably better than the Bucs/Panther’s affair tonight. Bridie, Justin, Morgan and Omar or Parijita seem ot have the best chances.

The Answer:

John Adams was the first Vice-President and Second President. Then we had Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr, George Clinton, Elbridge Gerry (Gerrymandering), Daniel Tompkins, John Calhoun, Martin Van Buren, Richard Mentor Johnson, and at 10, John Tyler.

I seem to be into brotherly love today. I'll try to be nasty and vitriolic tomorrow. But here is one of my old favorite songs to close.
