Laughing at nothing.

Today's Tids Issue 5,322

How about a little donkey ride:

Happy Hannukah E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y! It represents a lively time of for the Jewish community, and it means dedication. It is a celebration of the recovery of Jerusalem and subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century B.C. A candle in a menorah will be lit and for eight days that flame will be transferred to seven other candles. It is a festive holiday that coincides with the Christian and materialism Christmas days. BTW, there are no typos when it comes to Hannukah because over the years I have found thirty or so different acceptable spellings.

A great wit and loyal reader/contributor tells me he hired a grammarian from eastern Europe to edit his writings. He says it’s his Spell Czech!

The Argentinians made the penalty shootout kicks look easy. The French didnt. That’s about all I know about Soccer. Nice win for the great Messi

The Patriots yesterday afternoon proved they didn’t know much about football. What a disaster.

This is Christmas Crunch Time. Maybe Wall Street will give us a gift that keeps on giving. present. A little hope that there will be money next year to pay for all of the bills.

The Question:

Jesus was born in Bethlehem. From what town did Mary and Joseph have to leave to get to that iconic stable.

The Headlines:

--Markets In Limbo; Tesla Jumps After Musk Twitter Pol Tells Him To Quit His Day Job.

--J6 Committee Shutters Operation; Threaten Criminal Indictments.

--Argentina Wins World Cup In Shoot Off.

--Thai Naval Vessel Capsizes; 31 Sailors Missing.

--China Covid Surge a New Load On Struggling Economy.

--Wall Street Awaiting Nike Earnings Set for Tomorrow PM.

Well, the J6 committee is folding up its tent. I won’t be surprised at anything they say as they walk away. The rumblings you have probably heard are about criminal indictments including the ex-Prez.

There is a lot of talk about voting irregularities. But the real irregularity is the one practiced by both sides of congress which is politically going after the people voted in by the public. Impeachment, for instance, has been mutilated now to the point of becoming meaningless. As are most of these special out of control committees.

Did you happen to notice that the majority of teh Argentine soccer players looked like they had the same parents even though they had different names. That sounds like something you can’t comment on these days, but it is true.

It appears that Cocktails are replacing wine as the favorite libation of the younger crowds. Now who si going to buy all of those hundreds of difficult to differentiate wine brands I see in big liquor stores. Yes, it’s back to beer and booze and away from daintily holding stemmed wine glasses.

Have you noticed that the Pillow man Mike Lindell is hawking slippers now and is recommending they be worn shopping, in fact anywhere in public. Just what society needs, more dressing down.

That Minnesota Viking Indy Colts game should remind all NFL: fans or never turn off the TV. This had been an amazing year for comebacks. You might even say Odd! Maybe it is climate change after all.

My good wit/friend/reader/ contributor tells me he knows two attractive women who have just opened a bakery. They are roll models.

The Answer:

Before Bethlehem, Josephs hometown, Mary and he lived in Nazareth.

You can expect shorter Tids this week as I race to be available for pre-Christmas chores. If, you get my drift.
