Where are you, Cinderella?

Today's Tids Issue 5,387

Scrambling for dollars:

Today is the day the soap operas disappear, and weekday afternoon romantics learn to hate basketball.

Oddly, if you own bank shares, this is the day your money may fade away. I understand the angst over Credit Suisse. If one of the largest banks in Europe can’t secure funding, what happens to the medium sized regional banks in the USA. That is the question. The uncertainty, and you know what they say about uncertainty on Wall Street.

Sometimes you can tell more from what is not written than the words you see.

If all these predictions of the future make you nervous, consider this from a so-called expert: "We don't like their sound, and guitar music is on the way out." -- Decca Recording Company on declining to sign the Beatles, 1962

The Question:

The new list of most popular dog breeds is out and there is a surprise on top for the first time in 31 years. Name the top 10!

The Headlines:

--Dow Up, NAS Surging in Late Morning; Credit Suisse Gets $54 Billion Life Preserver.

--Critics Second Guessing Ukraine Decision to Stay and Fight in Bakhmut.

--US Tells Tik Tok to Get Rid of Chinese Ownership or Else.

--Food Deficiencies in North Korea Has Government Calling Emergency Agricultural Meeting.

Every morning I open my paper hoping that the great “Dilbert” comic strip will be back.

You can always tell a good megalomaniac when you see one. And it is never pretty.

I've decided to stop comments about bank shortcomings until this thing gets sorted out. There has been a lot of scurrying going on since the CS news. So, I’m waiting. Unless of course, I can find sarcasm and humor.

Flutes are nice instruments, but sometimes I find them annoying. Sorry flautists.

Will the US and China start WWIII over Tik Tok? God, what kind if a world have we become.

My idea is that if China is tapping into CyberUSA through Tik Tok and other devious internets scams, why can’t we find a backdoor through which our magical hackers can tap into computer banks.

And the experts got this wrong too: "I think there is a world market for maybe five computers." --Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, 1943

What a dilemma: Raising interest rates to curb inflation or save the banking system from failing due to high interest rates. Of course, I worry about the excuse from anybody saying they got trapped by high interest rates when it was common knowledge a year ago.

The Answer:

Well folks, after 31 years as most popular, the Labrador Retriever is Number two, The French Bulldog is king dog. Here's the rest of the top ten faves following the Lab – Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Poodle, Bulldog, Rottweiler, Beagle, Dachshund and German Shorthaired Pointer.

It seems as though French Bulldog owners should be prepared for heartbreak as the breed is known not to be highly susceptible to health complications.

Personally, I always liked English Springer Spaniels, who have been susceptible to eating rocks on beaches. But, they are a great breed to me.

It’s always nice to end the Tids with a cuddly Pup. Especially for tonight after my heart will be torn out as I watch my brackets shredded.

Happy March Madness, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
