Trigonometry jokes are a bad sine.

Today's Tids Issue 5,469

Nothing adds up:

The Groundhog saw shadows again and the stock market may burrow in with him. Yes, the CPI, Consumer Price Index rose more than it has since September numbers.

I'm starting to see things budding everywhere. Unfortunately, all my budding morning ideas were stymied til now as the internet service went down.

So. Thats one way to say, don't expect too much today

I'll do algebra, I'll do trigonometry, I'll even do statistics...

But graphing is where I draw the line!

The Question:

Which men's and women's teams have won the most NCAA Division One Basketball championships?

The Headlines:

--Markets Have Strong Day Despite CPI Surprise; S&P Breaks New Record; Oracle Posts Biggest Gain Since 2021.

--Robert Hur Tells Congress that Politics Had no Bearing on His Remarks about Biden Memory.

--Gang Leader Named Barbecue, A Criminal Rapper and a Rebel Fresh out of US Prison Vying for President of Haiti Job. (Good Luck).

--Ukraine Based Groups Claim Raids into Russia.

--Repubs to Lose Another Member of Razor Thin Majority, Colorado Rep Ken Buck to Retire Next Week.

A new national study said that Teens are becoming frustrated with parents' heads always buried in their phones. Yikes. We are them!

This is college basketball league championship week which means for one thing we'll be getting a lot of fun news as opposed to bewildering political news. That should be good for the national temperament.

Writing the Tids flows a little better when there is a piano playing softly in teh background. At least to me.

Apparently, they have reduced Federal sentencing Guidelines for some serious crimes. A guy who committed a heinous crime in RI was sentenced to 30 years. But now the new guidelines say it should be twenty years. He wants to get out ten years early. Here is his crime. He and four guys waited for a truly innocent couple of about 21 years old to get in their car after a nice evening out in the city. The five jumped them and drove in the couple’s car to the outer edge of the city to a small golf course. Ther ethe five decided they should be killed because they saw the faces. They made the two innocents kneel. The guy wanting the sentence reduced stripped them of jewelry. Another guy put a gun to their foreheads and shot them in gold blood execution style. Two innocent kids, children of loving parents who did nothing wrong. You be the judge.

Trump says the first thing he will do when elected is to pardon all those people who stormed the USA Capitol. I'm thinking, I'm seeing gangs taking over Haiti, and I'm thinking storming government is not good for a civilized society.

New England ski areas are having some of teh best snow of the winter this week. But the Maple syrup is confused.

Which political candidate can the opposition taint the most? That seems to be the gist of campaigns lately as opposed to what we can do for the people of America.

If you wait long enough you can probably find a coupon somewhere for the important foods of life that used to be reasonable enough to consume wildly.

Robert F; Kennedy Jr. Is thinking about Aaron Rogers or Jesse Ventura as running mates So, there you go. Do you think Aaron will take a pass? You know Jesse will go to the mat for him.

The Answer:

The top five for the men are UCLA with !1 leading the pack. Kentucky, North Carolina are 2 and 3. Duke, Indiana and UConn are tied for #4. Then we have Kansas and Villanova. 8 teams are tied with two wins – Cincinnati, Florida, Louisville, Mich State, NC State, Okla State and San Francisco, way back with Bill Russell and KC Jones leading the way. Number one for women is UConn with 11 and followed by Tennessee with 8. With 3 wins we had Samford and Baylor. Those with 2 wins are South Carolina, Notre Dame, Louisiana Tech, SoCal,

Have a wonderful springish evening, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
