Amateurs rising.

Today's Tids Issue 4.675

Rebuilding everything:

I really have been enjoying eating outside at restaurants. Thank you Covid.

I think this so-called “Second Wave” that is giving Wall Street the jitters is more due to expanded testing than anything else.

Meanwhile, Obstetricians watching the reopening felt certain everybody was laboring under a misconception,

Pediatricians though were urging politicians to grow up.

One of the more annoying sidebars to these continuing protests are the silly “Symbolism Wars.  That’s where the loony fringes rise up and cause raging controversies about changing names of cities and institutions, banning movies and TV programs, toppling of statues. Where hysterical ideologues spend hours researching the pasts of people they don’t like, looking for insignificant details about prior behavior that means little today, And what do these antics accomplish? They divert attention away from the real issues, the raison d’etre of the protests. They replace Get Better with get even.

“Sponges grow in the ocean. That just kills me. I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be if that didn’t happen.”  Steven Wright

The Question:

Who was Valentina Tereshkova?

It looks like Dems have a longer summer reading list than most school kids. Three, count em’, three new anti-Trump books due for publishing shortly. One is of course the big Bolton long anticipated Book which have Dems salivating. The next one is a book, which seems potentially dull as dishwater, is about Melania supposedly continuing couple of already leaked juicy bits about a prenup. But the most intriguing is one by DT’s 55-year-old niece Mary Trump, daughter of Trump’s Brother Fred. Apparently, years ago after the death of brothers Donald and Fred’s father, there was a huge dispute over the will of the old man’s will. The title: “Too much and Never Enough: How my Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man”. This is the first book by a family member. You can imagine the orgasmic anticipation over is one.

I think that probably a lot of today’s funniest comedians learned a lot from Dave Carlin.

Financial researchers are finding that amateur stock pickers have been doing better than the professionals. The internet has opened the gates to closed societies formerly barred average people. And they are finding that average people can be pretty smart.

Trumps biggest hope for reelection should lie with the awakening of the Silent Majority in November. This large segment of America is watching currently events very closely, but has been effectively been more silenced than ever by a very well-organized left-wing abuse of the first amendment. But it is expected many of those will be entirely fed up come October and November. It could be a factor if the President stops talking and tweeting.

It is a no-brainer to include the LGB et.al. group in the list of those potentially discriminated against. The problem I have with any of these classifications is that it can make it very hard for organizations of all types to rid themselves of the truly incompetent. Most people classified or not will say, “Hell, I am one of the best, so it could only be the fact that I’m a woman or gay or black or Asian or whatever that I got the axe”. It is no different than what people are crying about today – the police Union protecting incompetent and even evil members.

The first step on the road to success is understanding your failures.

18 months for murder?

I believe police get sacred as hell in tense situations just like any other human being.

But, why can’t they shoot them in the legs?

People who will miss Donald Trump most if he is gone: Book publishers. they have made a fortune.

Some readers may wonder why I always lead off the news with reports on the stock market instead of perhaps some social issue. I believe that most social issues in reality arise due to the vagaries of the economy.

So, two Atomic Bomb powers, China and India, are fighting. With bullets and stuff. Sounds kind of serious. Do you think the US media will cover it?

About a week ago I said watch out for Iran Today is was reported that the UN or some watchdog origination is demanding better access to some nuke related locators there. Couple that with other investigate on transactions between Iran, Venezuela, and possibly China and Russian over illegal transfer of funds for oil, and you may have the next big global worry abrewing. The place is very unstable. Bad for the good people there just trying to live.

Don’t police realize they are under a microscope?

I’m thinking that rise in the world’s oceans may be due to over fishing of sponges.

The Answer:

Valentina was the first Woman in Space. In 1963 she circled the Earth for 71 hours.

Scientists are spending ballions looking for intelligent life in the universe. We still are looking for it here.
