Keep looking inside, you may find something.

Today's Tids Issue 6,478

Discovering:

There are special moments in life, that are significant but only we ourselves notice. Finding a new friend would be one. Finding someone special would be incredible. Or finding something within yourself that had resided untouched over the years. That something you hoped for was always there. Walking past something you have passed by for years and seeing it for the first time…completely differently. Unlabeling people. Monumental news is often simply the result of opening our eyes a little bit wider.

There are many beautiful melodies written that the majority of people probably never hear. Lynn Trudeau’s “Seas of Amber is one of them. That’s the word we live in. Even now with all of the ubiquitous communication avenues, we miss great stuff all of the time.

There’s a lot of talk about whether or not the stock market is reflecting the economy going forward. Well it does, but only if somebody has knowledge that all of the pieces of stability strewn across the fruited plains after Covid will somehow magically come together in September. One of the growing economic concerns are the rising rates of skipped payments for all types loans from Mortgages to Student loaned. It is one of those small ripples that rise fiercely to waves crushing our shores. Or is that mall ripples.

Just wait a couple of weeks. July earnings reports may tell a bigger story.

Saying things simply is just better for everybody.

Over the weekend, we will experience the official first day of summer. And then the days will get shorter as we march to December. Happy Winter, everybody!

The Question:

What is Soprano’s star James Gandolfini doing today? Bonus: Who is Shirley Muldowney?

If all immigrants entered the USA legally, DACA wouldn’t ever be an issue.

Some days you look at the news and just can’t get beyond the thought that the media loves a divided America.

For a ballerina, her costume is one of her most important tulles.

I had a great promotional idea tied into the women’s movement. T-Shorts with big letters across the front: “Tids make you smarter” I think I could make a lot of money. What’s wrong with that?

If baseball stopped arguing and played ball, right now they’d own the sports world. If everybody stopped arguing we’d have livable world. Divisiveness at all levels is just a hair away from total lunacy.

Remember when the Dems just plain hated John Bolton?

Do we spend too much time listening to what other people say instead of what we know?

That song “Seas of Amber” mentioned above is a song Idahoan Lyn Trudeau wrote to reflect her love of the patriotic song America the Beautiful. She said “Living out in rural Idaho, surrounded by those amber waves of grain and purple mountains majesty has given me even deeper meaning to how blessed I am.”

Sometimes after I write the Tids I feel like a nanny state liberal. As If I have to tell intelligent readers what they can see with their own eyes.

Yet you may have heard Vera Lynn’s “Till we meet again” here first yesterday.

Would you trust a Covid Vaccine brought out two weeks before the election?

I love peaceful mornings. But every morn between 9:03 and 9:08 The Republican National Committee calls, obviously looking for money. Until they realize that a lot of people just hate early morning government intrusion, that they won’t get a nickel. Actually, they’ll never get any money from me waste on campaigns that are way too expensive anyhow. But, now I have an excuse.

Speaking of campaigns, there are many, including the media, who are waking up to the fact that we are in the Midst of a very important political season despite be appropriated by Covid and BLM. I think, though, the Dems are enjoying the fact that it all limits Joe’s appearances on TV.

Rex Tillerson for Prez.

If Rex ran the left would brand him as a dirty, scurrilous oil man, and the media would run with it regardless of how unifying he might be as fairly moderate President.

I just got a call from the Angolan Kwanza Fund. I think I could have made millions if I had answered it more quickly. Maybe I’ll call back and have them send my winnings to the RNC!

The Answer:

James Gandolfini is resting comfortably. I know you knew that he died at the young age of 51 in 2013. Bonus: Shirley was heroic drag racer known as “The First woman of Drag Racing.” She won the Top Fuel Championship in 1977, 1980 and 1982, becoming the first person to win tow then three titles. She was born Shirley Ann Roque in Burlington Vt. She constantly fought the “Dragging is for Men Only” opposition inside the NHRA. But they began to love the paying crowds she drew, and finally pulled down the barriers. Many of her male competitor’s opinions about her were summed up in the words of long time racer Fred Famdon, who described her as the “Best natural driver, (Fuel or funny car) , No question!” In 1984 she was in a horrendous crash, requiring 6 operations to hands, pelvis and legs plus 18 months of therapy. She came back. What ese would you think.

Reality is not in the stereotypes, but simply, just wherever you find it.

Happy weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
