There are clouds, and there are bright skies above

Today's Tids Issue 4,672

Open ears, for starters:

Personally, I listen to most Americans, Dems and Repubs alike; those who don’t have microphones and bull horns, or are paid to justify, regardless. And I see that we all, despite being divided by forces beyond, generally agree on most everything that matters to our daily days of toil. If it wasn’t for agendas and politicians and constant battering from self-serving opinions, we aren’t really far apart. If there were no envy or jealousy or any of the other 7 deadly sins, we’d be pretty much walking along the same path of kindness and giving. If mutual understanding replaced the desire for power and control, we might see us all as one.

I love the feeling of quiet morns. Like today well before the streets came alive, I looked up at the stormy grey sky, only to find just East of me a singular patch of pink alone in the heavenly drear. It’s always nice to awaken to a little thrill.

Well, today begins the first PGA tournament in, what, about 2 and a half months. Another step back into the world we knew. And I’ll be sitting there Sunday afternoon with a bag of you-know-what in my lap looking for the winner. Apparently, this Byron Nelson tournament is being played on the Colonial CC Course in Texas where the big hitters have less of an advantage. It’s about the shotmakers, so they say.

This just in – no more Snow days!! Yes, now that kids are used to learning at home, when the winter flakes fall and the roads are smothered under the fluffiness, kids will be watching their screens instead of getting out the sleds. Sorry Kids. Sorry Salty.

The Question:

The consumer spending for April was down 13.6&. That is huge, the largest monthly drop in history. What it means is that it will be taking just that much longer for companies to regain sufficient revenue, that is if they are still viable.

Yesterday, retired Saint Louis Police Captain Dorn was honored at his funeral. If you may have forgotten, he was the black ex-Police officer gunned down during the riots there by a 24-year-old looter Stephan Cannon. Hundreds of friends came to mourn. Nobody from BLM was there.

Play a Richard Strauss tone poem and enjoy. The great German composer would have been 156 years old today. His music will raise the spirit in your hearts.

Only 197 shopping days left until Christmas.

My cousin used to work for a map company. but there was no latitude for error.

These Defund Police demands around here look more like a power/funding struggle between various Public Employee unions.

Monument toppling is just the latest sad game that is destroying the foundations of America.

Now after more than a long week of protests and often riots we will endure a long often humorous period of backtracking by politicians who spoke too early about things they knew little about.

A pocket poll from yesterday says that most Americans are most interested in getting the economy back on its feet.

Excepted is often expected when I type too fast.

The Answer:
