Inconsistencies are the new truth.

Today's Tids Issue #4,676

Overlooking:

I’ll tell you a coronavirus joke now. But you’ll have to wait two weeks to see if you get it.

The NFL Tampa Bay Bucs yesterday released photos of Tom Brady in their new 2020 Uniform. The consensus was that Tom Brady looked very good in his black jersey. There’s no truth to the rumor that his wife Giselle Bundchen designed the uniforms. Or is there

Is a great poem one you only think you understand?

As crowds begin to gather again in outdoor restaurants, on quaint tourism land Main Streets and recreational havens like lake and ocean beaches and woodland trails, I’m seeing a total disregard for masks by a large majority. This at a time when tourists from outside regions are coming to areas that have worked hard to get the viral spread under control.

The Question:

The Farrelly Brothers made movies that helped us understand the lowest common denominator. And it seems a lot of people followed the directions. Name five of their movies.

The Headlines:

--Stock Futures Pointed To Positive Opening; Dow Moved Downward At Mid-Morning. Strong Results From UK CV Treatment Buoys Hopes; May Retail Sales Up 17.7% Over April.

--India Soldier Death Tool After Border Clash With China Climbs To Twenty; India PM Narendra Modi Warns Of “Befitting Reply”; Says, ”The Sacrifice Of Our Soldiers Will Not Be In Vain.”

--Huge Wild Fires In Various Parts Of Arizona.

--US Justice Department Sues To Block Publication Of The John Bolton White House Memoir.

--Beijing Cancels Flights, Closes Schools After Eruption Of New Virus Outbreak.

Why do they call it a novel coronavirus? It’s a long story.

Have you heard that a lot of liberals playing bridge are bidding “No Trump” on a regular basis? It’s not helping their winning percentage, but it makes them feel good.

President Trump has a new plan to slow down the growth of new CV cases. Stop testing.

Pollsters across the US have been huddling to discuss the validity of their current polling, attempting not to repeat the polling disaster of 2016. Most are concerned about the “Trump Factor” that surprised them about 4 years ago. As Biden’s lead widens with each successive poll, researchers are now saying Trump’s fading position may not be quite as dire as it seems. The American Association For Public Opinion Research are saying that in their autopsy of the 2106 polling results they found that the most interesting discrepancy not seen in years earlier was the widening differences between lower educated whites and higher educated whites. And they now worry that they haven’t yet corrected the sampling. Because of that, there still maybe a slight skew towards democrats.

While the general public tends to understand the basic reasoning behind the endless protests, there are many historical inconsistencies over stated theories undermining the credibility of some of the attack positions.

I thought the President made a reasonably coherent speech yesterday about the need for the police reform measures as laid out in the exec order he just signed. In fact, much of it included ideas of the Democrats. But, in a nanosecond after the speech he was condemned by Dems. So, what’s new. Nothing is about what is real any more.

I ran out of toilet paper and had to start using old newspapers. Times are rough.

Everybody is eager to buy and read the Bolton Book. But, as I remember -- he said after the impeachment mess that what he knew would not have helped the case against Trump.

I don’t understand how the crazies in Seattle are getting away with taking over a part of the city. There are many oddball trends developing out once fair country and this is one of the worst new precedents. Oh, BTW, did you see that the first thing tis cult did was to build a wall! Horrors.

My chief grammar and spelling critic found several typo doozies in yesterday’s morning mess. Sorry.

The Answer:

The Farrelly Bro’s top ranked film is “There’s Something About Mary”. (It is #27 on the “100 Funniest Films Ever Made” list.) The film that put the se Rhode Island brothers on the map was “Dumb and Dumber”, Ranking #3. #2 was “Fever Pitch”. The rest in order are “Kingpin”, “Me, Myself and Irene”, “Stuck on You”, “The Three Stooges”, “Hall Pass”, “Shallow Hal”, “Osmosis Jones” and “The Heart Break Kid” “Dumb and Dumber To”.
