If only.

Today's Tids Issue 5,163

To see a sunrise; to hear the birds sing:

I think that if I could do anything, I would have the blind see and the deaf hear. I think of this every time I stand on a rocky coast and inhale the beauty of the breadth of the oceans far; or hear a rhapsodic melody playing in my ear.

I think that Camille Saint Sans is underappreciated!

See, I like to start off with raging controversies that lead to venomous, no conceding arguments. It’s like an American thing. A good controversy real or manufactured is good for ratings and readership. I've [probably lost Saint Sans haters forever, but that's the kind of sacrifice we in the media must endure to continue the division.

I’m exhausted. It’s tough being a father on Mother's Day.

All of a sudden the tennis player to watch is the super Spanish teenager, Carlos Alcaraz. He won a big tournament this past weekend and on the way took down legends Nadal and Djokovic and beat another young phenom Alexaner Zverev for the title.

Did you hear about the veterinarian who prescribes birth-control pills for dogs? It’s part of an anti-litter campaign.

The Question:

Who was the Sherpa guide who helped Sir Edmund Hillary become the first non-Sherpa to reach the top of Everest. Bonus: The sunflower is the National Flower of what Country and state flower of what US state?

Either Russia is lying about the fact that they do not target schools and theaters and churches which are generally full of regular citizens seeking a haven, or their missile guidance technology is really, really bad. Your choice.

The lyrical poem that opens the second part of Saint Sans’ two-part Third Symphony (The organ) is as beautiful an interlude of music as I have ever heard. It speaks of the heart, and love flowing and fields of wildflowers in soft breezes. And lovers looking into lover's eyes. What more could you possibly ask for?

Picked lobster cost $79.50 for Tails and claws and $84 for Tails only. One of the advantages of living in cold New England used to be getting good fresh lobster at reasonable prices. Og]h the used-to-bes we once had.

Speaking of pricing, the room and board for my college has increased 29 times since I had my first brewski there, and my first house is now 36 times more expensive than when I managed to put together enough money to buy it. It not your grandfather's starter home anymore.

Napalan guide Kami Rita Sherpa yesterday reached the summit of Mount Everest for the 26th time. What ls humorous to me his that he was joined by 10 other Sherpa guides who brought up ropes to help the onslaught of amateur climbers set to arrive in late May. I guess the statistics associated with these climbs should be classified under the heading, “People who have summited Everest who are not Sherpas.” Several thousand climbers have made it the top in the 70 years since it has been open to the public. Over 300 have died.

Did you hear about the statistician who drowned while crossing a river? It was three feet deep on average.

Climate action advocate always say when asked about the inefficiency of the current energy alternatives, “Don’t worry, today's technology will change all that in ten years.” The greatest engineers and scientists have been trying to make the fuel cell efficient since the 1950’s, and it still cost wat too much. You see, there is this thing called physics and somethings work and sometimes things can’t be changed.

You’ll always stay young if you live honestly, eat slowly, sleep sufficiently, work industriously, worship faithfully, and lie about your age.

The convoluted logic of some politicians is to make everything more expensive so that inefficiency wouldn’t look so bad.

Minimum wage is meant to be a starting basic wage for mainly pretty unskilled jobs.. To get higher wages workers should be paid for contributing more value than though government edict. Increased wages for now apparent improved contributions is basically a socialist concept. Now if companies, communities and states want to train people so they can better themselves, contribute more and earn better, than that's a good thing.

The Answer:

The great Sherpa who helped Hillary to the top was Tensing Norgay. Bonus: The Sunflower is the national flower of the Ukraine. Something to think about the next time you’re walking down a farmland lane. The beautiful flower is also the state flower of Kansas.

I don’t get paid even a minimum wage for writing this morning mess. Ad some days it is actually worth reading.

Do you know what is really scary to me... those mysterious deaths at the Sandals’ Resort in the Bahamas.

What did the DNA say to the other DNA? ...Di these genes make me look fat.
