Cool Breezes.

Today's Tids Issue 5,268

Clear Head?

There maybe a little less agita in senior living communities today as the railroads and their unions have reached an agreement, which my set the Stock Market engine off on the right track.

Today is National Double Cheeseburger Day... or National “Time to Take a Look at Your Fitness Program Day”. But, there is still time left for one More big, juicy DC.

Yesterday, the world lost a man that economies need more than ever, Fred Francis. Fred was the guy who thought wine was far too expensive and brought us “Two Buck Chuck. We need another fearless pioneer who can do the same thing for the cost of chicken and Kale and sweet sugary scones.

The Question:

Selling homes has become an art. Most of the time houses are staged to look like they would in buyer's dreams, uncluttered but very comfortable and attractive. But here is the Question, what actually does and doesn't come with the house you buy?

The Headlines:

--Market Futures Point Lower.

--RR Strike Averted.

--Two Buses Of Illegal Immigrants Arrive In DC Outside Border Guru VP Harris’s House; Two Planes of Texas Illegals Arrive On Martha’s Vineyard.

--Right Wing Parties Win Swedish Election In Major Political Overhaul.

--Line Waiting To Pass By QEII is 4 Miles Long.

--Mayya Wins AGT. Kristy Is #2.

Repubs had better wake up and get serious about winning and not appeasing or the country will be facing two more years of Biden with a Dem legislature and maybe far fewer Repubs to throw in monkey wrenches. It’s really all about survival.

Well, what a terrible start to Tidspickers 2022! I am for sure a Buffalo believer now. But I’m thinking that parity may prevalent again among the middle and lower classes. We went 7.5-8.5. That is making a maintaining 75% a little harder. There are some very good matchups this week starting tonight with LAC at KC. Minn-Philly and Cincy-Dallas are other bogglers. Also tough will be NE-Pitt, Balt-Miami, NYG-Carolina. Tenn and Buff could be tense as could Seattle-San Fran. Ok, I have to go with KC and an energetic looking Mahomes at home; even though The Chargers Herbert is excellent too. Minn surprised me, but I'll pick the good ole Iggles at home. Cincy’s Joie Burrow is bound to wake up and Dallas doesn’t have a QB. I’ll pick the Bennies. I’m picking the Pats over the Steelers because I’m basically a dreamer. P-S is an evenly matched affair. Though Mima beat my beloveds last week, Baltimore is a\a better team. Are the Giants for real? I don’t know so I'll go with the Panthers. Buffalo looked lights out last week, but Tennessee is a tough out, as is their coach. Bufalo to cut down the titans. Von Miller will make the difference. And lastly, a real mystery rivalry. The Niner splayed in a flood last week. Seattle looked kind of thin. But SF’s Lance looked confused. I'll take the seahawks. .

Now last week I had some so-called easy picks too. How’d that work out, genus? Not well. Anyhow, here I go again –Browns over the Jets, Colts over the improved but not there yet Jags, Bucs over the saints, and Detroit will beat the Commanders in what will be a tough game. The SB Champs LA Rams will bounce back against Atlanta and GB will wake up against da Bears who won't have a rainstorm on their side.

Fingers crossed.

Everything these days just seems overdone, over talked about, over argued, over politicized. But nothing is more overcrowded than today's formally simple burger in the new hamburger envy competition.

I laughed a bit at the phrase “Extreme Right-Wing Parties in Sweden”. Here it would be a group of intelligent democrats.

Apparently, the new ABC Sitcom, Abbott Elementary, won a lot of awards at the Emmy’s. I read a Rotten Tomatoes review that said this is a laugh a minute show. I guess I have lost my sense of humor. Tedious.

People love to point the finger at wealthy people “legally” dodging taxes. But run to the side of a person caught with drugs for distribution because he or she was stopped by the police for “Illegally” speeding or driving recklessly. News is really all about which bias is in the heartof the Journalist.

A bunch of us at a gathering once did a blind taste test of Two Buck Chuck (Three Buck Chuck east of the Mississippi) versus higher prices wines. TBC came out the winner in over ninety percent of the time. Of course, the judges taste ability diminished over time! Money does not a great wine make.

In California, yes that California, each year about half of registered voters summoned for jury duty are disqualified. About half of those registered b voters are disqualified because they are not US citizens. Hmmm. Get the picture.

The huge boat show is in town this weekend. I won’t be buying one. Tids readers aren’t sending in those chciks.

Hey Wordle Fans – You may have heard that Bill Gates said the best start word is “Audio”. But now MIT researchers have decided on the ultimate -- “Salet”. Like you would ever have picked that word that means Medieval Helmet. I’ll continue with my own works.

The Answer:

Only “attached” fixtures tend to come with the house. This means ceiling fans, security systems, built-in appliances, window screens, storm doors, blinds and similar items should remain part of the home. Removable items — like curtains or furniture, for example — aren’t attached and probably wouldn’t be included. Outdoor items that are fixed to the property are included. The mailbox, a built-in fire pit, plants, shrubbery and an in-ground pool would all be examples of items that stay. Portable things, though — like a hot tub or unattached grill — typically would not come with the house. But everything is negatable. Owners may want to keep “fixed” stuff and buyers may offer to buy some unattached items or ask that they be included in the package.

A lady friend broke up with me when she learned I only had 9 toes. She was lack-toes intolerant! (An oldie but goodie)

Smilinyet?

Gotta go.
