Always keep a smidge of hope alive.

Today's Tids Issue 5,290

Political weariness:

Happy November, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!! What a month! A time to say thank you to family and friends, and of course to the Veterans on the 11th. And to all those thousands of people you never see but are doing something positive that affects your life for the better. Saying thanks for something is a pretty darn good idea all of the time. November is fun. By the end of the month, the college football playoff scene will be taking shape; Basketball will be running hard. People will wave pom-poms at TDay morning High school sports rivalries, and on Friday go berserk on Black Friday. And by the end of the month a lot of trees will finally be leafless, and you can put away the rakes and blowers. And stop paying the landscaper. The invigorating feeling of winter will be in the airAnd the elections will be over, and we can go back to watching TV again without cringing before commercials.

Maybe we also need a National “Please” Day. It seems now we have a Gimme that or I’ll smash your head attitude.

Today is National Men Make Dinner Day. That is often followed by National Women Rushed to Hospital Day.

I think I’ll walk over to City Hall and vote today.

99% of sensationalized, curious headlines turn out to be non-stories.

The first two words of the previous sentence is an arguable event.

"Old age comes at a bad time." – San Bianucci "

I think it is becoming obvious that superstar NBA players joining together as a package to sell to desperate owners will not put together a team that can actually win championships. But they will win the headline trophy.

Every novel is a mystery if you don't finish it.

In reality, stocks move higher when they see something promising in the future. Stocks will even ascend before the rest of society even gets hot with a recession. Even though it looks like the WS community is out of control just reacting to the news of the day, They really do have a plan. If they read the future tea leaves correctly.

If you think eggplant is good, you should try any other food, it’s much better.

Is it impossible to feel “groovy” now that music has gone from records to digital.
