Which way.

Today's Tids Issue 5,293

Why, I'll be danged:

As I get older, I look back at some forks in the road not taken and seek to find the knowledge I didn't learn.

The favorite winter garment for most con men is fleece. (Extrapolated from Jumble)

In cold climates, the efficiency of electric vehicle batteries goes down as much as 30%.

The Question:

Name what are considered Alfred Hitchcock's top Five Movies.

--Xi Warns Putin Not to Use Nukes in Ukraine.

Last night a thief broke into a restaurant in a popular eating area in Providence RI and stole whiskey and Tiramisu. Don’t you just love good discriminating criminals?

Xi gave us a great clue today into how he thinks when told Putin no on using nukes in Ukraine. As mighty as China appears, they are smart enough to know they want something left standing in the world when they dominate it. Maybe good ole’ Kim will get that message too.

The Gabby Petito family is suing the Moab Utah police department for $5o Million for “Failing to stop her death.” For not recognizing earlier that their daughter was in danger. This would not be a great trend, suing police departments because they took too long to react, or didn’t find fond clues fast enough. Suing the police for not making the right decision when they thought they were making the right decision at the time.

Did you ever try to put a cat back into the bag?

To me, Will Rogers always seemed like the next extension of Mark Twain.

I like Going to restaurants that allow you to build your own pasta dish – Pick a pasta, pick a sauce. Pick a meat, veggie or flavoring addition. Or don’t do anything and eat plain pasta cheap.

You think sometimes of the things you coulda learned if you had paid attention to all the stuff that passed you by. The good news is that you are always young enough to go back and learn something new. That's in addition to learning all the mind-boggling stuff you need just to remain relevant in the digital world.

The Answer:

I have always been a big Hitchcock fan. Loved his TV show and his movies. I checked out several lists for this. The first list has at #10, The Birds. Going to #1 we have The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, Shadow of a Doubt (His favorite), Strangers on a Train, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Psycho, Vertigo and #1 – Notorious. A second list had the same top five. Missing are some Fan Favorites: The Man Who Knew Too Much, Dial M for Murder, Rebecca, To Catch a Thief and Marni. A critics list has the top five different top five from the other two lists (See above). This list has #1 as Rebeccas and then Shadow of a Doubt, Young and Innocent, Sabotage and The Ring. Psycho and the Birds are not in the Critic's top ten.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
