Pumpkin: A family member who works at a gas station.

Today's Tids Autumn Issue 5,292

Time to chill:

Just five more days until the political commercials stop. Thank God for the election.

Ok, let’s settle this. A no hitter is one pitcher pitching 9 innings without help, without letting the other team get a hit. A New Gen no hitter involving three count em’, there, pitchers is just another version of “trophies for all”.

Treat each day as your last. One day you’ll be right.

New statistics show that while the young complain and march in the streets in protest, it is the older people (Fifty and above) who vote

The Question:

Who was the Danish Pianist/Comedian who popularized Rock Cornish Game Hens in the 1950’s? Yum, by the way, Bonus: What actress played Carrie in the thriller movie based on a Stephen King book?

The Headlines:

--Stocks Open in the Dumpster but Claw Back by Early PM.

--Ex Pakistan PM Shot in foot During Rally in Clear Assassination Attempt.

--Attacker of Paul Pelosi I R Entered USA Illegally.

--Israel Prime Minister Yair Lapid Reportedly Readying to Concede to Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu; Netanyahu’s, right-wing religious bloc course to a resounding victory.

--Powerball Pot Increases to $1.58 Billion.

Worrying works! More than 90 percent of the things I worry about never happen.

How do stocks take a nosedive when WS knew exactly what Powell was going to do?

Well, the ole’ TidsPickers didn't do too badly last week. Somehow the Browns showed up and diminished my victory glow reducing my possible 12-3 to 11-4. We are now at 78.5-44.5 (64%). Tonight, I just got to pick the high-flying Eagles over the less than ordinary Texans (Will Philadelphians pick the Eagles or Phillies to watch?). After tonight, there are some great potential battles on tap starting with the Tennessee-KC game. I like the toughness of the Titans and love the wizardry of Mahomes. Tenn can speed up the game with Henry and keep the wizard off the field. KC can be beaten; I see an upset here. The Jets play hard and are tough on D. The Bills are really good all around. I’ll stick with them, but I’m worried. The Pats and the Colts both have mediocre O lines. Which sieve will hold when it counts? I take the Pats. The Commanders have been looking better like Coach Rivera teams do but I have to stay with the Vikes who just look like they know how to win. I have just realized that there are no easy picks this week. Even Jax versus Las Vegas. LV should be better, but they sure haven’t shown it and Jax gave their fans hope, but they make silly mistakes. I go LV. Or am I just a sucker for ex-Pats coach McDaniels

Continuing on in our weekly Thursday adventure into the unknown, two of the most disappointing teams so far are the Bucs and Rams. Especially the Rams, Superbowl champs. I’m saying this is the week the champs wake up. Sorry Tom. I will pick Atlanta over LAC because of their grit, and also the Dolphins over the improving Fields and his Bears. Talk about disappointing, how about that other SB team, the Bengals. Charlotte is little better with a new coach, But I go Cincy. The Pack should beat the Lions, right? I’ll give GB one more chance. Is there a more exciting team than Seattle, or is it just their oldest coach in the league, most enthusiastic Pete Carroll. The Cards are another disappointing team due for an awakening., I think Seahawks will keep it going. Then we have the Ravens and the Saints. The Ravens added some really good new pieces at the trade deadline. I think they will win. It. I have to say, this go could be another weekend of upsets especially when you consider a lot of the better teams on paper are visiting teams.

Somehow state's Attorney Generals are looking like Personal Injury Lawyers looking at ways to take money away from Corporations and redistribute it to states who say they will use the dough improve, systems, safety or whatever. And in many instances the victims never see a dime.

Today is National Cliché Day. Have a nice day everybody

Have you heard the Dems new talking point which began it seems this last week before elections -- “Reminds me of the kind of language that came out of the mouth of Donald Trump.”

Somehow the Netflix series White Lotus became very popular last year, receiving critical raves. I hated it. I got into the second season this week because it started with what looked like a series of murders. But soon learned that I would have to wade through a mess of totally unlikable characters to get to the end. Just like last year.

While almost all have not changed their position or beliefs about abortion, only 18% think it is an important issue in next weeks election

The Answer:

The “Clown Prince of Denmark”, “The Unmelancholy Dane” “The Great Dane” and of curse originally, Borge Rosenbaum, but indeed to us he was Victer Borge who not only made us laugh and feel the wonderment of his classical piano playing, but he also made us aware of the delicious Rock Cornish Game Hens. Bonus: Sissy Spacek was Carrie, as if you didn’t know that.

If April showers bring May flowers, what to do May Flowers bring? Pilgrims. Get ready! Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
