Fishing and thinking.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” –Willie Nelson.

Hey, Thanksgiving is just one week from today. Time to start counting. It appears many families will be separated, but what a great opportunity for us all to open our eyes at how much people not there are missed. That for all the goodness we have received over the years, nothing can measure up to what has been received from those who can’t be with us, those who will seem more firmly inside our hearts next Thursday, more than ever.

So, as the Big Pharmacy companies like CVS and others buy up health insurance companies, the little drug store on the corner is getting screwed over. Talk about monopoly power. And tis from a dedicated capitalist who just happens to like the independent corner drug store, and respect the hardworking creative entrepreneurs who own them.

The Dow was poised to crash though 30K today. I don’t think it will make it. But, that gives us hope for next week.

The Question:

What are considered the best hobbies for people based on their Zodiac sign?

Where there are pots full of big money there will be thieves looking to steal it. Stimulus has been a bonanza for the underworld. There are just some people who know how to work the systems, and ae ready to pounce when the money starts flowing.  I haven’t a clue about the Government systems, so I am always amazed at how fast crooks can put together criminal operations. Politicians are pretty good at playing free and loose with pots of federal dough too. Our Governor is one of them, who has holding about $1.2 Billion designated for those struggling economically, good people whom are seeing their lives crushed by Governor imposed restrictions due to Covid.

Pickin’ time! Last week wasn’t too bad and it would have been better if I had picked my beloveds. Nice win for Pats, though. 10-4 last week brings us to 101-44-1 (A smidge under 70%) At first glance, for this week’s lineup I see a lot of games that could go either way. The important games are Arizona- Seattle, Tennessee-Baltimore, Green Bay-Indianapolis, Kansas City- Las Vegas and Tampa Bay-LA Rams. Arizona certainly can surprise, but I’m thinking it’s time for the Seahawks to get back on track. Big bird snags little bird. Tennessee needs this one. Baltimore wants to bounce back. This is tough. Have to pick Balt. Indy keeps on surprising me. But GB is solid again. I’ll pick the Pack. Las Vegas has been showing me something. KC even with the Great Patrick hos been off at times. Going out on a limb picking the Raiders. TB went from completely awful to solid. Some say The LA Rams are back and as strong as any team. I’m going Rams.

Of the rest, I reluctantly pick Bree-Less NO over Atlanta, Cinncy over Washington, Carolina Over Detroit, a more confident New England over Houston, Cleveland over Philly in very good game, Pitt over Jax in not such a good game, Miami Over Denver, Chargers over Jets and Minnesota over Dallas in what could be a good game also.

The hardest thing about these picks is that I often root for teams I pick against. U I should tryot make my life easier. I’m getting too old for angst.

I think there is more money in Georgia right now than in the US Treasury. But then Georgia is all about who will use the US Treasury.

What a terrible place Venezuela has become. Now, the awful Madura is going after his staunch allies who helped consolidate all of his power, the socialist left. Some have been denouncing Maduro’s misguided decisions, and finding their criticism results in death, regardless of how close the denouncers have been to Maduro. Venezuela was bad and now it may be irretrievable. Maduro’s new socialism, it is said, is now very similar to that of the Soviet Union and Cuba.  God bless the innocent citizens forsaken by the Tyrant.

I would worry about vacationing in Aruba.

The Answer:

Well, I have to tell you that my Zodiac designated best hobby interest is totally foreign to my interests – Learning a new language! I’m a Gemini. The rest are Cancer – Photography; Leo – Collecting; Virgo – Baking; Libra – Volunteering; Scorpio – Hiking; Sagittarius – Meditating; Capricorn – DIY Projects; Aquarius – Stargazing; Pisces – Songwriting; Aries – Zumba; Taurus – Gardening. “Zumba”?

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
