Behind the Curtain.

Today's Tids Issue 5,339

Sun - The Constant:

Somewhere in Russia this morning NK’s Kim is trying to sell Putin some weapons. Never underestimate the evil that exists that a righteous person may never understand.

I love the threat of rain in the morning, because it keeps the fair-weather golfers off the course.

I'm getting to a point where I am often one of the oldest people in any room. Why don’t I feel old yet. Other than the pains and lack of vision and assorted other maladies, I just tend to see life the way I always did.

We have several flowers growing that seem much happier now that summer is over. And of course, their happiness is our happiness. Actually, I feel happier when summer is over. But I'm not blooming.

I was surprised when a rascally friend of mine said he got an emotional support animal. A pig. But then he admitted it wasn't exactly a whole pig. Well, Ok he said, it was bacon.

The Question:

What city in the world produces the most cut and polished diamonds. Name the other three big diamond cutting centers.

The Headlines:

--At least Ten Thousand Missing in Libya After Massive Dam Break; Two Dams and Two Bridges Collapse in Derma; 25% of 100,000 Population City Wiped Out.

--Big Tech ruling Wall Street This Morning; Oracle Misses; Apple to Unveil; Exchanges Drifting.

Microsoft keeps interrupting with little messages about turning on or off this or that as an aid to something I'm supposed to be doing. And frankly I never have the slightest idea of what they are talking about. Yet, I still nervously must pick yes or no.

Pampered cows produce spoiled milk.

The Tids Sports department may be fired before the week is out. What a loser Pickin’s week that was.

Who teaches bears how to open coolers.

But there is no bigger loser than the NY Jets where we may have already seen the end of the Aaron Rogers era before it started. And think of all the NY celebs who were anxiously hoping yo be seen with him around town. Of course, it doesn't bother this Pats fan one bit.

Apple is now making their phones in India. Yet, Apple phones are so expensive that you might think they are being made in the USA.

Kim who heads up a country with no economy is hoping to be bailed out by sales to Putin who heads up a country with no viable economy.

All my days are pretty great because I avoid reality.

Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the sun.

How things change. The Red Sox are in their annual year end do or die series with the hated Ya, Ya, Ya’s. But this time it is only for whom doesn't end up in last place.

Even Snopes doesn’t believe Joe was at the collapsed World Trade Center 22 years ago today. Our National Plagiarist Laureate must have stolen the “Gates if Hel” line from somebody.

My eyes glaze over when some news agency says they have new information about Fauci.

The Answer:

India’s Surat is dominant and pretty much the diamond and polishng center of the world. The next two big centers are in Antwerp, Belgium and Tel Aviv, Israel. Also big are two cities in China, Guengzhou and Shenzhen. Russia is also notable diamond cutting as are New Yorik and South Africa.

Nothing tops a plain pizza.

See you all tomorrow. It’s going to be a great day today. Trust me.
