Condescension syndrome.

Today's Tids Issue 5,489

Where's the escapism:

A good friend just sent me a Red, White and Blue campaign appearing Bumper sticker for my car: “Not that one... or the other one 2024”.

Are the female version of chipmunks called chipnuns? (Thanks to Frank and Ernie)

It seems to me that as Tesla sales in China flounder, GM and Ford are making a lot of progress here with some pretty good EV cars and SUV’s. New reports are showing us that “Plug-In Hybrids" may very well be the way towards the future. In today's report, the EV market share of the total Auto Market dropped to 7.1% as EV sales in the US slowed. That's just the way it is now that the early adopter market is near capacity.

90% of bald people still own a comb. They just can’t part with it.

The Question:

I haven’t done this in a while. The National Debt Real Time Clock gives us a whole lot more information than just the scary second by second accumulation. You can also see instantaneous home sales and auto sales. What are the top ten brands in year-to-date sales by number of vehicles.

The Headlines:

--No Winner in Powerball Last Night; Jackpot Grows to $1.23 Billion.*

--Powell Quells Rate Curb Nerves; Markets Expected to Soar Today; Surging Upward at Opening; Techs Stay Hot, but Dow Recedes in Mid Afternoon.

--Bidenand Netanyahu to Talk Today; World Divided on Continuing to Arm Israel.

--Winter Returns to New England After Killer Storms Rampage Through Midwest.

I'm wondering how all the tough on crime Conservatives are rationalizing away Trump alleged criminal indictments. I’m a tough on crime conservative and crime is crime no matter who you are deeds. And BTW progressive medial Americans are innocent until proven guilty regardless of which party they belong to. What travesty living in hypocrisy-ville has become.

*Just where I want it!

The Boston Celtics are obviously one of the most talented teams in the NBA. But the big question will always remain, do they have the tough hearts upon which championships are won.

Polcital analysts may have a tougher time picking winners this year as voter apathy could tend to skew a lot of traditional number clusters.

There are several car logos that bother me mainly because I think they fight the design of the cars. The two main ones are Honda and Hyundai. But I also have trouble with Buick, Cadilac, Subaru and Chevy. Ford, an older logo. still somehow makes it. There are others I don't particularly like, but their car design rises above them. (Note: These are the opinions of this writer only and do not reflect the prejudices of Tids Management.)

A friend of mine is breeding racing deer. He is tryingot make a fast buck.

I think that judge sentencing decisions shouldn’t be subject to appeals based on arbitrary sentencing guidelines. The Judge feels teh ugliness of the crime and the sincerity of teh convicted criminal

Did you read that over Easter weekend thieves broke into a San Fernando Valley Cash Storage Facility. They stole $30 Million Dollars! Holy Greenbacks, Batman! I never heard of cash storage facilities that weren’t called banks. Police are puzzled in a way that says to me it had to be an inside job. It would be funny if a cash storage building was designed to look like a big mattress!

I wonder how many Eclipse tourists will drive home thinking, So, that's it?

Job changers should be aware that Bosses are being picky again as the labor drought eases. Now you gotta be speical and not juut a warm body.

I am of then belief that many of the worker lawsuits based on some selective attribute grouping – race, age gender – are more likely the acts of workers who weren't very good at their jobs and were passed over for raises and promotions simply because of that basic effectiveness measurement. Corporations and small businesses alike know well it is playing with fire to knowingly disrespect an employee because of a known grouping category. If you look around, you know there are some employees who just love playing victim instead of looking honestly within.

The Israeli excuses over the World Central Kitchen convoy are very suspect since it appears each of the vehicles were spaced a distance apart and were hit with separate smart missiles.

The Red Sox pitching staff so far has an ERA somewhere below 2. But their hitting is somewhere below two also.

There is a bit of a panic setting in here as I am dreadfully low on orange-colored cheesy snacks.

The Answer:

There;s a lot going on in car sales. Number one is Ford passing Toyota to grab the top spot. Yes, after many years on top, Toyota is followed by Chevy, Honda and Nissan. Interestingly, Kia has leaped over Jeep and Hyundai for 6th. After Hyundai at #6 we have Tesla which has moved up the farthest now surpassing jeep which is now fallen from 6 to 9. The other brands with more than100,000 cars sold are Subaru, GMC and Ram. Brands that should easily be over 100K by year end are Mazda, BMW, Volkswagen and Lexus.

I ate at Mary Poppin's Restaurant last night... Super cauliflower cheese but the lobster was atrocious.

It’s time to go, isn't it?
