It isn't yesterday anymore.

Today's Tids Issue 5,492

Don't be surprised:

Like or not, no matter how comfortable you are old or young, rich or poor, no matter how you feel about anything, you will experience changes at an ever-increasing rate in the months and years to come.

Dan Hurley is one helluva coach.

It’s harder and harder to find silver polish. That has to tell you something.

The Question:

Ok. Here's a question with answers you can disagree with. Who are teh greatest living all time Rock songwriters?

The Headlines:

Money is pouring into AI ventures almost as fast as Congress and state legislatures are running to create protection from AI laws. Maybe a good brainy AI program could figure it out and give us all an answer we can live with. Before lawmakers make too many no turning back decisions.

Yesterday around here was just another day where nothing really happened unless you wore special glasses for a few minutes.

But a most trusted friend and observer from Cleveland wrote to say it was just utterly amazing yesterday when the sun disappeared. And the propel there were wrapped in the arms of soothing darkness. And the smiles, she said, oh the smiles on so many faces.

I guess there are a lot of “Internet Hists” and so-called Influencers talking to and influencing younger generations. I have never heard of any of them. And it is highly unlikely I ever will. But that is just another aspect of change I Don’t know about overwhelming the population around me.

Writing off loans by the government is unamerican – whether for bakers or kids overextended for education.

Yesterday was the first sunny day in weeks and then it gets interrupted with an eclipse. Go figure.

Why would you trust anybody who calls him/herself “Influencer”?

There have been a lot of sports columns the past two days hailing teh high degree of interests in women's basketball and how far women sports have come since Title IX in 1972. But the big questions remains... who will be next year’s Caitlin Clark to keep the TV ratings surging?

Baseball and other big-time sports execs are admitting that they were caught flatfooted by the speed of movement by younger generations to streaming. It was comfortable for them with the old networks and local TV contracts. So be alert for unexpected things, and I will learn not to complain about having my safe secure routines disrupted, I know that streaming is here to stay. As are other unnecessary interruptions in my life.

The result of writing off student loans of pretty obvious – it is a license for Colleges and Universities to keep on raising prices.

The Answer:

Number one is Paul McCartney followed by Bob Dylan and then Brian Wilson, Elton John, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Carole King, Neil Young, Mick Jagger, Bernie Taupin, John Fogerty, Don Henley, Dolly Parton, Robert Plant Jimmy Paige, David Gilmore, Eric Clapton, Stevie Nicks, Neal Diamond, Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Townsend, Jeff Lynn, Mark Knofler and at #25, Joannie Mitchell. Rock on Tidsters.

Happy sunshine day with no interruptions.
