The weirdness cometh.

Today's Tids Issue 5,495

Really, I get it:

A pun has not completely matured until it is full groan.

What’s scarier than punnerisms though is the real threats coming out of Iran against Israel' It seem like words became stronger overnight and is clearly well beyond diplomatic name calling. Two US officials are warning US citizens to not travel saying that an Iran Attack using 100’s of drones combined with missiles is imminent. The question is always, what does the US do about protecting an ally. An all-out war against a known foe with an active Nuke devices underground does not sound like a good idea to me. But ...

Just to reinforce the reality of the Iran Israeli conflict, West Texas Crude prices jumped to $87 while Brent Crude creeps up to $100. So, the collateral damage from missiles and drones there, will be more inflationary economic disruption here. Global means interconnected.

Snacks shared with people you like are called friendchips.

The Question:

Name the ten top TV Police shows.

The Headlines:

--Bank Earnings Reporting; Wall Street Not Excited Today. Stocks Lower.

--Netanyahu Meeting with Staff Bracing for Iran Attacks.

--Flash Floods overwhelm Towns in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

--Pence Lands Teaching Job at Conservative Christain Grove City College; Ex VP Says he is Hapy.

It is expected that AI will consume nearly 25% of the USA electrical Production output in a few years. Inefficient alternative sources is not the answer unless you are happy with federal government subsidies.

A new fear on Wall Street over potential problems with AI is being likened to Mad Cow Disease. As generative synthetic data is fed to train new generations of AI, it will in effect be eating its own marginalized brains and self-destruct. The cause is due to less and less original human created data resulting in AI consuming itself. This is not from an AI hater but an AI CEO worried about the industry’s future.

I don't understand it either!

The Big Boston Marathon takes place Monday. It's Patriots Day, an Official Massachusetts holiday which I still enjoy years after I moved to abutting states. It feels like my entitlement. You put up with 128 traffic and "Taxachusetts” and you feel you’ve earned a day off for liefe. And besides, I am a big fan of Paul Revere, for whom the day celebrates.

Yet tomorrow here in Newport we have te Daffodil Dash: which is another road running race with a true marathon, A half Marathon and five-thousand-meter run. Now My question is, will Boston runners use this for a tune-up. BTW, the acres and acres of daffodils through which the runners trod are looking quite amazing this year.

I hear More and more talk about things that are coming that I don’t really understand, or even want to understand. It feels like it will make life more complex. Thats the only thing I know for certain.

Did you hear about the guy destroying snacks at the grocery store? He's on the registered Chex offender list now.

This is Friday that feels a lot like nothing. Maybe you can tell.

The Answer:

Number one is Criminal Minds, Next is The Wire, followed by Law-and-Order SVU, The Shield, Blue Bloods, NYPD Blue, Law and Order, The Hill Street Blues, The Rockford Files and at #10, Sherlock. Number 11 is Columbo (In case you haven't seen it, the new show Elsbeth is a female replica of that dogged old detective Same exact plot line). #12 is Hawaii Five-0 (The original) followed by Magnum PI, Justified, and NCIS. A couple more I liked on the way to 25 are #s 19 and 20 Bones and CSI and numbers 23,24,25 Person of Interest, Castle and Monk. Another funny favorite Barney Miller was 27. McMillan and Wife was 74. If you want to know where a favorite of yours ended up, drop me a line.

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
