Tids in the Dark.

Today's Tids Issue 5491

Not on the face of it:

So, I didn't win the $1.2+ Billion. That’s a bummer.

People are all in a dither about the high cost of everything, yet millions are spending $1000 or more to watch the sun disappear for 4 plus minut5es. Go figure.

Everybody is really excited it seems over the eclipse. But what is really around here is that the Red Sox open tomorrow in Fenway. Maybe you can hear the vibrations from the hearts of eager fans. It will be more than special this year. There will be a tribute to long tome favorite pitcher Tim Wakefield and his wife Stacy, both who died at young ages from cancer within months of each other last Fall. Tim was a solid pitcher, but he and Stacy together reached deeply into the community as leaders with many charitable efforts. There will be tears of appreciation tomorrow among the cheers for hopeful heors.

Maybe almost as emotional will be next Saturday when Trout season opens in RI. All the waterways ar e lfuly soctcked.

The Question:

The highest mountain “Peak’ in Rhoe Island is Jerimoth Hill at 812. But there are four states with lower highest points. Name them.

The Headlines:

--Stocks Wobble Ahead of earnings and Inflation Data Week; Amazon Looking to New Highs.

--Solar Eclipse Today; NASA Sends out Alert that Main Path is Narrower than Orginally Thought.

--Trump Issues Abortion Position: Leave it to The States.

--Biden Anxious to Pass Student Loan Forgiveness Legislation Before Election.

I suspect one of the better reads this week will be Jamie Dimon’s 61-page report to his shareholders. A lot of people think Dimon is one of the true financial genius's in history. He is worried about “Stickier” inflation and Higher interest rates due to constant high government over spending, Feds move to shrink its Balance sheets and logistical disruptions from the Ukraine and Middle wars. He is very concerned about increasing Government banking regulations stifling free market decisions. He could see the US banking industry suing the US government. Yikes.

“Dada comes home to Moma.” That’s when surrealistic art on loan is returned to the Museum of Modern Art. (Thanks to Frank and Ernie.)

India is an incredibly diverse country, and all their food isn't curry. India isa classic example how stereotypes drive people to make misinformed decisions. India is a giant Hindu dominant nation yet, it is the third largest Muslim country in the world. There are many conflicting factors at work there, so that's why political analysis in the most populous country in the world are difficult and the path for thise elected is near impossible. There's more to it than Bollywood and the Taj Mahal, an enigma within itself..

It is surprising to see bank branches being built all over the place while more and more people bank online. But I hear from a reliable source that the reason is because it is cheap advertising for banks having high visibility buildings. But most important say the strategists, it gives people doing everything online that there still is something there backing up their money. How about “Bitcoin Savings & Loan’s” on Main Street.

Duh Headline of the Day: “Biden Anxious to Pass Student Loan Forgiveness Legislation Before Election.

If I was in charge of making films for Trump campaign, I'd make them without him in them. How do you think that would work out for my Production company?

Have you ever heard as many cliches as there have been from sports announcers and interviewers during the NCAA men's and women's championships. Save our young people from tritesville.

I'm all in for UConn tonight. Btw, at half time on Saturday Danny Hurley was anything but cliched as he playfully spoke about his team’s first half play, leaving the sideline interviewer agape with only another clichéd Q for response. Believe me, you had to see it. It was classic.

The Answer.

After RI’ mammoth mountain, you have one in Mississippi a few feet shorter followed by Louisiana, Delaware and Florida which is really low at 315 Feet.

So, I hope you're getting High on the Tids today with a little additional titillation from the sun in the sky.

See you tomorrow. Gotta go rescue some Mayans from the sun gods.
