Dragging myself up from the morass

Today's Tids Issue 4.740

Better Above Clouds:

I like the Fall. But I like the fall better when the stock markets aren’t tanking.

There are moments in our days

When we all should stop and think.

Of all the many and varied ways,

Having love makes days distinct.

A president’s term of office is a full four years, not 3 years plus as some today would want you to believe.

I was thinking yesterday that we should be considering that an ultimate goal of a leftist takeover of the USA would be to tax “Wealth”, which is quite a bit different than taxiing income. That’s a scary prospect to comprehend for many reasons, especially when it is so difficult to quantify wealth.

A rock that measures 1,760 yards in length is a milestone.

The Question;

What are the All Time longest running Broadway shows?

What’s the difference between a poorly dressed man on a bicycle and a nicely dressed man on a tricycle? A tire.

The NE Pats losing at the last second Sunday night was good for my “Pickem’” percentage, but really tough on the heart. But that’s life, isn’t it. Choices, some at odds with each other.

My boss is going to fire the employee with the worst posture. I have a hunch it is going to be me.

Every day or so I read about a horrible death in a single occupant car accident on a relatively straight road. I mean, my wayward mind is easily distracted, but I find driving safely a priority no matter what dreams try to diminish my focus.

More and more studies are proclaiming that Social Media is one of the worst things to ever inflict itself upon a once pretty logical, happy society. But, how do you ever get that tooth paste back into the tube? And remember when we all thought The “Tube” was bad for society?

I typically don’t read headlines that start with “Trump Slammed” Where’s the news? Trump is always slammed.

Sometimes while nestled here in my own little corner of the universe I fail to realize how devastating Covid has been to the daily lives of so many people. It can be as simple as just getting out of the house with friends or the ultimate of losing a loved one. This is a horrible time.

The Answer:

Number one longest running Broadway show is “Phantom”. Next is Chicago, followed by The Lion King, Cats, Wicked, Les Miz, A Chorus Line, Oh! Calcutta!, Mama Mia and at number ten, Beauty and the Beast, The next five are Jersey Boys, Miss Saigon, The Book of Norman and 42nd Street. Two of the earliest record setting classics, My Fair Lady and Oklahoma are now down to 21 and 34. Current rave, Hamilton, is at 39. One of the most popular musicals of all time “Sound of Music” is only at #60. “Once” is 93.

There is nothing I can write about today that will match the coming explosion over the nomination and confirmation of RBG’s replacement. Nothing, not even the election.

What did ET’s mother say to him when he got home? “Where on earth have you been?!”
