The friend zone.

Today's Tids Issue 4.743

Friends listen:

If you had friends like mine, you’d be the luckiest guy the world.

Some people think that being happy all of the time is avoiding the reality of life’s woes. I totally don’t agree.

Unfortunately, we now live a social media world where mere rumor becomes indisputable facts in an instant. And nobody wants to find the truth lest it spoil a good riot. Makes me sad.

The more I think about it, the more I think we are going to see some significant economic reality in late Fall which will seriously disturb the stock markets.

The TV set is showing the beginning of the final journey of a great person, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Today she is in the Capitol, the highest honor. She deserves all of her tributes, and more. But why is all of the commentary only about identity politics. And not just about an obviously intelligent and gracious person, a reasoned thoughtful and one of the great jurists. Why is politics ruining the meaning of life?

I don’t suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

The Question:

What would you think are seven ways to prevent working from home burnout?

The Headlines:

--European Expanded Fight Against Virus Has Markets Nervous.

--RBG Lies In State At US Capitol.

--Trump Promises Drug Discount Cards As Part of New Health Plan.

--Covid Mutation May Bypass Mask-Wearing, Hand-Washing Protections; Mutation Seems More Contagious.

---Trump Booed During SC Visit (Duh).

I thought this local news quip was funny this morning: “Man 34, just released for custody steals his bail bondsman’s car under view of several security cameras and his immediately arrested.” I have a weird sense of humor.

A laughing Motorcycle is a Yamahahahaha! Aren’t you glad the week is over? Obviously, I’m running out of puns.

A local black Providence school music teacher Facebooked this opinion after the Briana report: “Protestors should burn down this entire city,” and, “I believe change only comes from elongated violence and protest.” He said he made a mistake. The old “Mistake” ploy. If he was a so-called conservative Patriot he’d being in jail and the press would be all over him. The police it seems didn’t even make a mistake when entering Briana’s apartment, but they are being crucified as premeditated murderers.

Word of the day -- Deontology: In moral philosophy Deontology says that morality of an action should be based on whether an action itself is right or wrong under a series of rules, rather than based on the consequences off the action. Have you noticed that over the past years that “Getting Caught” has defined morality rather than wanting to understand what led to being caught in the first place? And, I made a mistake is always one reaction. I wonder if lawyers have anything to do with the popularity of this new human tendency.

For some strange reason, I just don’t see Steve Mnuchin standing tall, side by side with Donald Trump barricaded in his Oval Office on inauguration day. What a weird scenario to conger. Absurdity has taken over.

Vote for your Republican Senators!

The Answer:

Actually, the answers to this are quite realistic. 1. Take breaks --- You’ll find that working from how is more efficient so breaks there will detract less than casual talking around the office. 2. Maintain a daily schedule just as you would if going to an office or school. 3. Set up a real, dedicated workspace 4. Plan for regular at home exercise, just like you might schedule visits to a gym. 5. Stay organized and don’t go haphazard just because you know work is always nearby. 6. When work hours end, unplug entirely. 7. Reach out for help if you think you are going a bit batty. Like, everything else in life, this is just another way to do something that was common another way in the past. Will power, focus and good humor will still get you by.

My buddies and I often like playing the game of hide and seek. It generally goes on for hours… Well, good friends are hard to find.

I don’t know what I may have accomplished today, if anything. I guess if got anybody to sit back and smile and contemplate the wonderful and delightful importance of friendship, I may have done something after all. For starters, A friend is better than a bad pun.

Have a great Weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
